We're all just upset because poor UK had to suffer through a national tragedy. That's why we rushed to judgment and believed those stupid news stations who were probably just trying to get a story by lying about a fake hole in the roof of the Georgia dome. We're so gullible.

Bloom said some of the issues they are considering: TV, safety of the dome, alternate sites, and the format for rest of the tournament. "Once this weather passes, is the Georgia Dome still going to be a place to play," Bloom said. "If you have an alternate site, what do you do about tickets, what do you do about television?" Bloom said that cancelling the tournament "is the worst-case, last-case scenario. I don't think that's being discussed." Bloom said that instead of moving the championship game to Monday, the conference may crown co-champions. The NCAA will announce its field for the men's basketball tournament at 6 p.m. Sunday. The biggest issue with crowning two winners is that the NCAA doesn't give automatic bids to co-champions. For example, if Georgia were to make it to the championship game, it likely wouldn't get an automatic bid.

So you agree the "uproar" is silly. There was a storm in Atlanta. Heavy winds hit the Georgia Dome. Life goes on. The Selection process isn't going to wait for a little hole in the roof at the SEC Tournament. If there was no way to play tonight, they have to play twice tomorrow or twice Sunday. It's not the World Trade Center going down or the start of a war (had a game called off for that back in 91). The Georgia Dome is safe, and Atlanta is out of danger...

March 15, 200818 yr From ESPN.com: As Mississippi State led 64-61 with 2:11 left in overtime, a loud blast was heard inside the dome. The girders near the dome's roof began to swing, and a gaping section of the north part of the roof was ripped open, dropping debris that included nuts and bolts.
