Ethan Faulkner is probably the top or near the top PG in the tournament. He should be in the top 15.

You dont need to be able to shoot over someone 6'3. If you are shooting with any person right on you, it's probably not a good shot. Josh usually takes good shots, and can actually create shots for himself and others. Smart is tall and he can shoot. That's about it. If you put Smart in Whitaker's place on that Hazard team, I say Hazard does not make the Sweet 16.

 

A certain college coach in attendance told Whitaker if he keeps working, he could see him playing for him in a few years. I'd like to think he knows what he is talking about.

 

Yeah I am not so sure Smart could handle any type of full court press the way Whitaker did. He was absolutely hounded and still produced in the Sweet 16.

I would take Whitaker any day over Smart.

Pittman of Holmes?

 

I don't think so. Not yet atleast. By next year and his senior year though, he and Ricardo Johnson of Holmes will be two of the top 5 players in the state.

 

Being sophomores and already 6'5 guards, they are obviously going to grow a few more inches the next few years.

 

Ricardo Johnson might be the bigger D1 prospect but Pittman will probably be the bigger of the two. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pittman at 6'7 and playing the guard/forward position his senior year. Good thing about both kids is while they will both be probably 6'6 and 6'7 by the time they're seniors, they will be good enough to play the guard or forward position since both can take you down low or hit 3's now.

 

Holmes also has a freshman who is already 6'6 in Keyvon Arnold. Ricardo Johnson and Pittman's senior year, you could very well see this height in the starting lineup:

 

Pittman 6'6 or 6'7 (G/F)

R. Johnson 6'6 (G/F)

J Johnson 6'5 (F)

K. Arnold 6'8 (G/F)

 

Scary to think about having to go up against that kind of length and athleticism.

 

I stood beside of R. Johnson at the "Sweet Sixteen" and he is about 6'3. We all know how the media guides exaggerate the height of these players.

Taylor Stewart was only the leading scorer for the 11th region champs and is headed on a full ride to Air Force at the D1 mid major level. Of course he makes the team and would probably start at the 2 spot with Edmundson at the 1. Johnson drops off.

All that is debatable. I am definitly not a LexCath fan, but I can't believe there would be a list without Sanford and Stewart on there. IMO they are LexCath's 2 best players. Sanford after 2 games had played great basketball before having an off night, thinks in part to Henderson's defense and Holmes as a whole.
