The rotation should be

Harang

Arroyo

Cueto

Volquez

Belisle/Affeldt/Fogg

Wow, Cueto over Bailey? I think he did pretty well last year when he got the call.

Really? What games did you watch?

I didn't, but his stats were not too awful... 9 app, 4 w, 28 k's, 5.76 ERA.

Harang

Arroyo

Belisle

Fogg

Cueto

Volquez most likely in the pen along with Affleldt. Bailey in AAA. The Reds need another lefty in the pen thus Affeldt will not be in the rotation.

You left out walks and batting average against. An average ML pitcher puts up those stats. Don't get me wrong, I still have hopes for Bailey, but he simply isn't ready for the majors.

The problem that Bailey has from what I hear is that he can get AAA batters out with his fastball just because it goes between 95-98... But in the bigs if your fastball doesn't move big league hitters will crush it. And apparently he can throw it in the high 90's but it's as straight as an arrow...

He isn't an "average ML pitcher", he is still young and has a lot to learn, and you can't expect him to come in and shut everyone down in his first 9 app in the bigs. Also I don't think he threw enough to tell if he is ready yet. In my opinion.

I don't expect that, but he has more than proven that he is not ready. Monday night's game against the Yankees was a perfect example. The Reds have much better options than running Homer out there every 5 days right now.

Maybe they do, I just don't think he will get any better pitching to minor leaguers. He has proven what he can do in AAA. But like you, I have a lot of faith in Cueto, and hope he gets a chance in the bigs.

Unless Cuetos last couple starts are below average, there is no reason why he should be left off the roster. Unless management truly feels he is not ready, but lookiing at his numbers now, there is no reason to think that. If he can pitch, bring him up no matter the age.

I just read an article that had a quote from an anonymous MLB scoul that when asked if he thought Cueto was ready for the big league rotation he responded "Rotation? He's your ace... Right Now..."

This is the way this guy brings home his pay check, mind you...

Strong complement when you look at who are ace is right now.

Is that your prediction, or do you really think thats what they will do, because maybe behind Fogg, I think he is their next best pitcher.

That's what I think should be done. You're right about him being behind Phogg, who if he makes the team will be in the 5 spot.
