Congratulations to Lex Cath!!!!! They win the 11th with home grown Catholic boys. Credit goes to their relentless hard work. Represent the 11th well in the Sweet 16. I watched the game on Wazoo, it was a classic Lex Cath clinic.

 

Also Congratulation to Bryan Station on a fantastic year!!! Just wasn't your night tonight.

I don't think there is one person who is the glue to this team. When they are firing on all cylinders they are pretty hard to stop. Everyone seems to have a role which they have accepted and each person does their job. A team that is fun to watch. Sidenote, Catholic went undefeated in the 11th REGION! Pretty impressive.

I think Morones is a Junior for Station, along with Ashford. Only 2 starters back for them next year. They will be rebuilding big time, and I wonder if they'll have a new coach.

 

Station was unable to play their style tonight. If what they do works, they will kill you. If not, then you saw it tonight. Most of their offense comes off defense.

Neutral fan, What I saw tonight better wake up the state. I saw the two of the top 5 teams in the state, and let's just say Lex. Catholic shot the ball extremely well. Bryan Station needs to adjust at halftime on Smart, and reduce the number of chances going to trap. Catholic was too strong in the front court with the ball. Also, note the officials for this game were challenged in the first half. They missed several walks that led to baskets. I truly think you need a college crew officiating a game of this magnitude. They just didn't do a very good job in the first half. The second half was all Catholic, Station took too many chances. They are definitely the best I have seen this late in the season. If they keep shooting 60 percent from the field watch out they can walk to the finals.

This has been a huge issue I've had with the 11th region of late. No offense to anyone who is a ref as I am certain there are some good ones out there who do great jobs, even in the 11th. I get the job is tough and not one many people want, however, the athletic talent and skill that has come to the 11th region teams has far exceeded the ability of the 11th region refs to follow these games. Many games are called fairly, however when it comes to my opinion at least of how well they are called, I feel that many have been poorly called.

A very true statement. This team is full of role players even amongst their stars and each one plays his part to the fullest in order to keep the team running. I am gonna remain realistic about this team's chances to win state, seeing as any given night a team can step up and pull the upset. However, its gonna take getting this group out of sync and forcing them to play out of their comfort level to really shut them down.

Congrats to Lexington Catholic. Steamrolling through the 11th is no easy task.

Someone made the comment about Catholic winning with home grown Catholic kids? I don't know this for sure But I think Vee Sandford isn't Catholic. He transferred in from Lafayette. Congrats to Catholic though!

If Matt Walls didnt win Mr. Basketball and he was on the state champions, no way Mack wins it now. It has been Millers award since early in the season. It sets up very well that Mason will make it to the state finals. If they make it that far, no matter the result, it seals the deal. Mr. Basketball- Darius Miller

Amen. Matt Walls was a clutch player extraodinaire for Scott County and played best in big games. SC fans seemed to think they would just play on without missing a beat before the season began. He seemed to kill LexCath's momentum with a timely three every time they met during his career. Mack has disapeared the two times I've seen him this year against the same two teams. Macks stats show he is one of the best in the state but the best player steps up in important games. I would say it's between Miller and Hopson now. The LexCath group of Novosel, Stewart, and Smart are my pick for the best trio though.

Wow congrats to LC. I predicted a BS win. Look forward to seeing the Knights at Rupp.

In the contest I picked Catholic to come out of the 11th...glad I did. This was a very hard region to pick.

Officiating is a problem all over the state. I don't know what the answer is. Need to do a better job attracting young officials to the game and then training or requiring training to continue. BETTER TRAINING! Great win for Catholic. I was surprised.
