March 11, 200818 yr Final. This one spells bad news for some of the bubble teams. This one along with South Alabama losing tonight to Middle Tenn in the Sun Belt Semis.
March 11, 200818 yr I was reading an article that says this San Diego win will help UK's resume and improve their RPI. Anyone else buying that?
March 11, 200818 yr Author Wow, I never would have figured this one. Maybe a bigger upset was that Gonzaga did not make even one 3pt. shot (I don't think). San Diego is better than what I gave them credit for, still imo not close to a top team but better than I thought. With Gonzaga, St. Mary's and now San Diego quite possibly getting in the dance this will no doubt knock one of the "bubble" teams out.
March 11, 200818 yr Author Anyone else think that maybe Ole Miss, Florida, Ohio St. and Syracuse are "upset" about right now?
March 11, 200818 yr Anyone else think that maybe Ole Miss, Florida, Ohio St. and Syracuse are "upset" about right now? I believe Florida was in panic mode already, but one of the other teams is about to get shafted, as well.
March 11, 200818 yr Anyone else think that maybe Ole Miss, Florida, Ohio St. and Syracuse are "upset" about right now? Florida probably needs two wins at least and Ole Miss probably needs three wins in the SECT.
March 11, 200818 yr I was reading an article that says this San Diego win will help UK's resume and improve their RPI. Anyone else buying that? I'd guess it helps UK's SOS and RPI a bit. However, the SOS was already pretty high.
March 11, 200818 yr I was reading an article that says this San Diego win will help UK's resume and improve their RPI. Anyone else buying that? It will help their RPI, but it will not help their resume....losing to a WCC team (not named Gonzaga) at home, can not help, in anyway whatsoever....actually I don't like "good" losses by any team from said "power" conferences.
March 11, 200818 yr I could see picking USD for an upset with the right match up... Keep in mind, the WCC was played at SD. The last time the Torero's won the tourney was 2003 on their home floor. They will probably draw a pretty good team in the 1st round.

No loss is a good loss, but it is better than losing to the last place or a middle of the pack WCC team...
