It was the 1982 District Championship at Highlands. It did indeed go to overtime. JB went over the top on 4th down to win the game. Still to this day probably the largest crowd to ever watch a football game at Highlands. Yes Seabass and Sticky, even larger than Leslie County with Timmyboy.

Man, are you getting old or what!!!! The kick Damon made was against Bell happened in 96. Birds were beaten until Justin decided it was his time to shine. That drive he sucked it up and carried the load all the way down to about the 20-25. It was truly an amazing series of plays to watch unfold.

 

All those Bell County games seem to run together to me. They are all the same scenario, cold, WET, and muddy. Always a good game.

I was there for that game. It is in my top five for HHS plays that I saw. One thing I cannot understand is how it could have been soooooo muddy when it hadn't rained for weeks. :confused:

Was today (March 11) the first day of spring football practice for HHS?

 

So, they have 15 days to have 10 practices, right?

Yes, today was day one of spring ball. They will have practice everyday this week and a short scrimmage on Friday. Next week, they will practice Mon. , Tues. , Thurs. , and Friday. Possibly another scrimmage on that Friday. The last two practices I am assuming will be the week after Easter which is a short week due to spring break beginning on Friday.
