The 16th Region in Morehead is great, but I agree, rotating the Regional Tournament would provide a phenomenal atmosphere.

 

Although the only gymnasiums that could hold the tournament would be Greenup Co. and Boyd Co.

 

This could never happen due to the unfairness, but would provide a tremendous high school atmosphere.

I was always a big fan of having the region at Morehead until I went to a couple of 15th region games before the Expo Center. They alternated gyms much like we do district' date=' and the atmosphere was simply awesome!!! With Boyd and Greenup seating close to 5,000, why not alternate it in the 16th?[/quote']

Dirt has a good point. Although Morehead is technically a neutral site, Rowan Co. might as well be playing at home.

BUT, to agree on another point, most gyms can't hold the capacity to allow this to rotate. Morehead makes the most sense in that aspect, but it is still a home game for one team. Much like college football and it's postseason, this system will never be perfect!

The rest of the 10th Region hates going to Mason to play their regional. Unfortunately, there's not another locale inside the region that's big enough.

Yeah this a good point although it doesn't really have anything to do with the 16th attendence.

I thought it was a great turn out Thursday night.
