Mason Co never lead in the game. Mack scored 8 points in the first 66 seconds of the game.

Got assist numbers at least for Mack?? One of the big things I've heard from most people who have seen him play is that as a scorer he is good but his overall game is impressive because he can get his teammates scoring opportunities just as easily as he can score himself.

The top 4 are interchangeable from week to week.

Combs did look like a good athlete for his size. Know what position he plays. I'm going to guess DE.

 

Combs played WR this year for Station. I would anticipate he will NOT play that at Minnesota. Havent heard what he was recruited as though.

I'd say its tough to really say with much certainty who is best right now among the big four. Lex Cath has wins against Scott Co. and Mason Co. and a loss to Mason. However, Lex Cath was close in all three games and could just have easily lost their two wins or won their one loss. Bryan Station has played Scott Co. and Mason Co. twice and is 1-1 against both with some great wins and some ugly losses. Scott Co. has played all three of the other teams and is 2-2 with nice wins over Mason and Station, but an ugly loss to Station and a close loss on senior night at home to Lex Cath. Mason Co. is 2-3 against these teams.

 

Overall in breaking down the games and matchups, no one team has really seperated themself from the others. So I'd agree its tough to really break down these four. Considering the early hype Mason Co. might be playing the most down right now of the four, but it isn't like Lex Cath blew out Mason or Scott and frankly I think with Station's defense and quickness they would be a little outmatched right now. Scott Co. has the great height and Portwood can score from outside but they haven't always shown four quarters of great ball against the other three. Finally, Station seems streaky to me as well. They always have quickness and speed but their consistency from game to game isn't necessarily always there.

 

Whichever of these four teams can put together a string of good games will win the State I believe. Of course, Mason should have the easiest road so far with only one of the 11th region teams to potentially have to play.

As for the dunking situation, I see nothing wrong with it. These are kids and how many dunk opportunities do they get? The kid was excited and it was only two points. Get over it.

Station is one of the best teams if not the best. It could turn out to be one of the greatest 11th region title games ever, if it comes down to them and Lex Cath. Im not sure if Clark or Montgomery could beat Mason on a given night.

This game sounds like the opposite of Mason's game against Elliot Co. in which they couldn't miss a shot.

Station plays a little bit better defense and are a lot more quicker and athletic than Elliott County. That would contribute to the Royals shooting woes wouldn't you agree?

I could see him playing tight end but wide receiver I would have to see that with my own eyes. He looks more like a D lineman. I loved his enthusiassum he came out of the locker room fired up. Mason's players might want to watch some game tape of this big fella.

Congrats to Station on revenge from earlier,They out hustled the Royals all night and there perimeter D lock down the 3 shot from Mason.Royals will rebound now and go for 9 straight and a state title.

I was in the same boat as you guys when I first saw him too. I had heard that he was going to Minnesota to play football and asked a Station fan sitting close to me what he played and they said he played WR. When I saw him my first thought was DE or TE. He does move well and has some hops, so maybe he could be a WR at the high school level, but he will either move or have to drop a ton of weight to stay at WR in college. I guess we are talking about the Big 10 though...

Mason County looked intimidated and Station just looked calm. Felt bad for the Combs kid they were calling fouls on him before he stepped on the court.
