Overall an ugly game from Mason. One thing I saw before the JV game was even over. At halftime of the JV both Mason and Station players went out on the court to shoot around. When Mason's JV came out they warmed up on the goal Station was on and when that happend the Station players went down and just took over Mason players running them off the floor. To me that intimidated the Mason players and shook them a little bit before the game even started. JMO.

Didn't Bryan Station shoot something like, 37% from the field. I thought thats what I heard Danny say after the game on the radio?

Station beat Mason tonight, like Clark did in the region last year. Let Miller get his, but try and shut everyone else down. Mason's coach said on his post game that the supporting cast has got to step up in post season.

 

I was guessing on my way home tonight that at some point I would see Clark County mentioned in this thread. I should have bought a lottery ticket tonight.

Unfortunatley, my prediction held true. Too much emotion.

Ok, I knew it was down in the 30's. It seemed like they shot better than that though. They made up for it on D, and played tough. I haven't said it yet, but congrats and good luck in the upcoming post season.

Did anyone think the last two points (the dunk) somewhat disrespectful (I think thats how I want to say it)? I know you teach kids to play until the final buzzer, but they had the game wrapped up. Did anyone notice it, or pay attention to it? Let me know what you think..?

I thought it wasn't very sportsmanlike, because no one was guarding him. They were up by 9, and there were four Station guys on that side of the floor and no Mason kids. Usually, they hold the ball and let the time expire, but I guess this kid thought it was something and decided to show us that he could dunk it with no one on him. I thought it was not classy at all.

Mason is a transition type team and depends heavily on 3 pointers. If their forced into a halfcourt game and the 3's aren't falling they're dead. Unfortunately, they don't appear to know how to run an offense and never have under O'hearn.

Under Coach Ohearn direction the Royals have won 100 games and lost 25 and this year played the most competitive schedule in Mason County history. The Royals clearly know how to win. I totally disagre with the idea the O'Hearn system does not include effective half court sets. It does. The Royals offense (as all quality teams do) starts with defense and hustle. We were outhustled tonight andshots didnt fall. The lost tonight was not the result of a lack of half court offense. Tonight the Royals lost to a very good Bryan Station team andthere is nothing to hang your head about. The real season starts nextd week and if the Royals implement the O'Hearn system, playing solid team defense, hustle, play hard each and every play and have fun the Royals will be just fine. Have fun Royals and relish the ride.

Mason didn't act like they wanted it nearly as bad as Stationm. didn't get on the floor after loose ball etc.

Mack suprised me as to how quick he is. He was the best on the floor tonight.

If I remember right, Scott Co. beat Station pretty handily not too long ago, so now why are we so quick to make Station #1? The top 4 teams could go in any order, IMO. All of them have beaten up on eachother all year long, and on any given night, any team could win.

 

That is exactly what I said. All 4 of these teams have beat each other, adn I can't pick a number one. All I can say is what a great year for ky high school basketball!! WOW!!!

I saw it. The Mason Co. kids had already started walking to the bench. In poor taste I thought. No reason for it.

I dont thinks its a big deal. So he dunked the ball it had no impact on the game. Would everyone feel different if they were down 9.
