Top 3 teams in the state all in the 11th region. Two of them in the same district! Could get wild these next few weeks.

 

How easily you forget that Mason Co has beaten two of those "best teams in the state" that you speak of. MC had an off night, but they are still one of the top teams in the state. Mason, Scott Co, Lex Cath, and Bryan Station are by far the 4 best teams in the state and none of them have seperated themselves from the others. Don't be so quick to leave Mason Co. out after a bad night. They are capable of beating any of those teams, night in and night out. They will be back. They are too good not too.

Mason couldn't throw the ball in the ocean standing on the shore. Station played a good overall game. They treid to shut Darius down, but he got his and when he passed no one else could put the ball in the hoop. They had open looks but couldn't knock em down. The better team won tonight. I think both of them strengthened their chances tonight, because they both carried their teams.

 

Neal Pawsay played an extremely good game, and if wasn't for his rebounding Mason looses this game by 15. No one wanted to grab a rebound it seemed. Mack had several offensive boards and put backs.

Mason is a transition type team and depends heavily on 3 pointers. If their forced into a halfcourt game and the 3's aren't falling they're dead. Unfortunately, they don't appear to know how to run an offense and never have under O'hearn.

I agree. Every team in the state is 0-0 now. Every team feels like the have a shot at the state title.

You are exactly right. I meant throughout the year though. There are several teams peaking at the right time though. But as we Mason Co. people know all too well, any team can beat any team on any given night.

Mack is really quick and finishes extremely well (except for the runout), a great player to watch, as well as Miller.

When Mason missed tonight they missed badly. Some shots were pinging off the backboard and some never saw the goal. I was really impressed with Mack. They did not let Miller get his and shut everyone else down, they double Miller and everyone else self imploded. Darius worked hard after they got down. Mason needs to do a better job of closing out on players and denying the ball.

Is it just me, or did they blow out a top ten team the last time that they played? Teams have bad games. At least it was in the regular season and not the post season.

This game sounds like the opposite of Mason's game against Elliot Co. in which they couldn't miss a shot.

 

Even though Miller and Mack had comparable stats, did one stand out in particular and strengthen his case for Mr. Basketball?

 

Well... Miller was pretty much all Mason County had. Take him away, and this would be even uglier than it was.

 

I give Station props, they came out ready to play, but Mason didn't (with the exception of Miller). Middleton and Setty, terrible with only one three point basket between the two. I don't think the Royals could have played worse..they were lucky it was only 11.

I'm just glad Station, Lex Cath and Scott Co are all in the same region.

If I remember right, Scott Co. beat Station pretty handily not too long ago, so now why are we so quick to make Station #1? The top 4 teams could go in any order, IMO. All of them have beaten up on eachother all year long, and on any given night, any team could win.

I didnt make them number 1, just said the top 3 came out of the 11th. Catholic is pretty much number 1 in most people's minds right now.
