Everyone needs to chill out. Who cares if he dunked it. This game means nothing. The real season doesn't start until tourney time. Chill out everyone. Both these teams are very good and will make noise in their regions and maybe state tournament as well.

I think we are talking about two different dunks here..

It is terrible that fans walk out on teams when there is time still left on the clock, we can agree there. People I'm with always want to leave, but I always stay until the end (unless my ride home leaves).

Certainly, but approach this way. Team goes on a 14-0 run at the beginning of the game. The 14th point, is a result of a dunk. Why is that any different, than a dunk at the end of a game. Why do teams still commit fouls down 10, with :20 seconds to go. Why do non-starters, shoot the ball when they get in games, which are already determined.

 

It's because, they want to play the game. One team realized victory, while another is absorbing the loss. One is thrilled, the other dejected.

 

Nothing classless, just exuberance on one and walking toward the bench, displayed they knew it was over.

Ok, but a 14-0 run at the beginning the game isn't in hand. There is still 3 plus quarters left in the game.

Either way I wish nothing but the best from Bryan Station in the post season as they are an exceptional team.

The loss never bothered me. So nothing much to get over. What I was saying in that post was, "What if?" It was an example.

First of all I don't see the dunk being that big of a deal. That being said, if you think the dunk was classless, couldn't you also argue that it was gutless for Mason to allow it to happen....on their own floor? If the winning team isn't content to run out the clock and wants to try to score when the game is out of hand, you give him a good hard foul when he goes in for the dunk, and it might not happen next time.

Just different how we all percieve these things. Maybe Mason should have hacked the kid and thrown him to the floor. Not!

You can argue on whatever you want. I'm sure there are people that will take a different stand. That's the beauty of this site.

I got the thread off topic, so let's all get it back on the path, to discussing the game and move on.
