February 21, 200818 yr Unfortunately, I was not there but my roommate was. There is this HUGE center column thing in the very center of the library. On the 5th floor you there is a big room for studying in it. Well a floor below, are these little ledges sticking out, I guess for decoration don't really know. Anywho... it is rumored that a frat did it... a couple guys lowered a stereo down on to the ledge with a rope and cut the rope once it safely landed so it was impossible to get to. I believe there were two and they had remotes to them and were just playing the most ridiculous music (ranging from the Barney song to Barbie Girl). The security at the library was completely clueless and in a frenzy. Finally, after a couple hours, the police showed up. I was told that one stereo fell earlier but am not exactly sure what happened to it. The next part, my roommate caught on tape. One of the cops lowered a pole towards the stereo with a hook on it to grab it... after many misses he finally got ahold of it. As he slowly brought it up... and with the crowd chanting, "Drop it! Drop it! Drop it!" the cop lost control and sure enought, the stereo came crashing four and a half floors and completely shattered everywhere. The roar on the video I saw was pretty absurd. Anyways, thought I would share what actually goes on at the library here.

February 21, 200818 yr Author I do know some more info at this point. It was some frat guys... I know which one they are from but am not at liberty to say right now. They did not have remotes... they were playing a CD and the first 10 or so minutes was silence to give them time to lower it and what not.

February 21, 200818 yr I had seen the rapelling video before. Pretty good stuff on the new one though. I'd like to see some more video.
February 21, 200818 yr I've only been there once, but that library is pretty freaking awesome. My friends and I went through "shushing" people as loud as we could... I guess you had to be there, but trust me it was funny. They need to make it a multiplayer level in Halo 3.
