NKU offers Henderson of Holmes...

Featured Replies

Not sure whether or not it's already been posted, but it seems, NKU has offered Arrez Henderson a scholarship. Here's the story and link...

Holmes boys' basketball coach David Henley confirmed today that 6-foot senior guard Arrez Henderson has received a scholarship offer from Northern Kentucky University.

NKU coaches have been a fixture at Bulldogs' games this year.

Henderson is also interested in playing Division I basketball.

Henderson is averaging 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game for the Bulldogs, ranked No. 1 in the Enquirer Northern Kentucky coaches' poll.

I say take the money and run. Free education, playing close to home and in a new arena. Arrez is a fine player and would be a great addition to this team.

I'm pretty sure he's had this offer in his pocket for quite a while.

Anybody heard if anyone is recruiting McGraw????

NKU may be interested as well. IMO Henderson/McGraw and Sorrell are the top 3 players and NKU would be stupid to not try and recruit all of them.

Hope he stays home. NKU should be fun to watch.

Agree. Those three could really take NKU in the direction that they need to go in the next few years to become a national power.

It's good to see NKU try to keep the local talent around here though. Arrez is probably one of the hardest working kids in nky and it's refreshing to see the young man's hard work pay off.

Hope he stays home. NKU should be fun to watch.

I'm not so sure he wants to stay home. I've heard he wants to get out of town. Hopefully he gets an offer from a D1 school out of town.

I agree that all 3 are great players but what is the deal with McGraw's back? Will it prevent him from playing at the next level? He is an amazing talent and I'd hate to see him give up the game.

Last I heard about McGraw was NKU was not interested for various reasons. He is one of my favorite players to watch in NKY and I hope he does get a fair chance.

The last I heard he was being looked at by basically D-3 teams and some D-2, possibly headed to the same school as Corey Pelle. I know Transylvania also was recruiting him.

Hope he stays home. NKU should be fun to watch.

Agreed! It would be great to see Henderson & Sorrell play together, rather than argue who's better. Bought two seats at the new arena with a 3 year commitment for just this reason. Hopefully, McGraw will come on board too.

Good to see they are trying to keep some Nky talent at home.

The only problem I see in getting all 3 would be that they all play about the same position, and unless NKU has some big guys that they're sure to get, they need size.
