February 12, 200818 yr It's starting to come down pretty heavy here in the Ashland area. Anyone know how many inches we are supposed to get tonight ? I've heard 5-7. Which means we will end up with either 1-2 inches or 10-12.
February 12, 200818 yr Ground covered here in Winchester with snow...still more coming down. Got a homemade apple pie in the oven ...should be done around half time of the ball games. YUM
February 12, 200818 yr As I said in another thread, my firefighter pager is going nuts with reports of bad road conditions here in Greenup County. I guess it will be a long night for me. So much for going home and going to bed after work tonight.

You guys do a lot and are very under paid. I know I appreciate it.

February 12, 200818 yr Just got back from a trip out in the snow...The roads are very bad here in South Louisville.
February 12, 200818 yr While this is all pretty and everything, get ready. Behind is it freezing rain. Watching the weather channel, Missouri got 1/2 inch of freezing rain as this snowstorm left the state. Be prepared for freezing rain in the middle of the night and losing electricity.

I know I appreciate it. Thank's I appreciate the concern. As far as being underpaid, you are right, the paid EMS workers are very underpaid. I do it as a volunteer. The only pay I get is knowing that I am able to help others, not just stand by and watch.

You are storing rewards. Just not down here where they are going to be taxes. God bless you and each of those like you who give of their time for the sake of the rest of us. You are richer than Bill Gates, just haven't collected on it, yet. I hope God protects you and that collection is even further out.
