I think you mean too physical on the perimeter. If NCC has an advantage it might be inside. Dustn Giesler needs to control the paint if NCC has a chance. Highlands has very physical guards and defend the 3 well. It might just come down to the refs, if they let them play out front, it will be to Highlands advantage.

 

I don't think Geisler can control the paint. He's struggled against players within an inch of his 6'3 height all year. NCC has seemed to go away from the 3 ball? Lipscomb is not getting shots off from the outside but is going to the basket well and Connor hasn't played much the past several games thus NCC is struggling to score? If NCC guards the 3 point line like they did against Holmes, Highlands might run away with it they can fill it up! Hopefully Geisler comes ready to bang and will get the ball to Lipscomb and he gets hot. NCC will compete and be tough to beat but HHS will win the physical part no question. Bottom line if NCC shoots well they can win if they go inside and it doesn't come back out Highlands by 18.

If I'm Holmes or Covcath, I have all of my coaches at this game seeing how the Birds play with Simpson in the lineup (yes I know he played against CCH), and I'm hoping NCC somehow pulls off the upset.

Are you serious? If this game turns into a track meet, Highlands wins by at least a dozen. Simpson and McGraw will have no problem running and with their abilities in the open court it could get ugly. Look for NCC to try and slow the game down and get the ball down inside and make Highlands try and defend.

NCC is to easy to defend inside only because they don't work in and out and Highlands is to strong. NCC can attack better if they let Pangallo take off a few times. Is Simpson ready to run after being out hurt? Hasn't Mcgraw been dealing with an injury as well? NCC better play to their strengths and attack HHS weakness (which are very few). Not a track meet, NCC let's the defense set up before they play and should attack a little sooner to get shots off! I'm complimenting HHS aggessvie play here.

HHS fans are really not a 6 man factor, :sssh: is what I have heard. The parents were louder than the student section. Highlands should win, but watch out. NCC has a great coach!!!

 

I think Willie's up to the challenge Highlands is at least close to healthy, and this one will be a double digit victory for the 'Birds!! They might surprise some people all the way to Rupp??

Jermine Connor is the difference. If NCC finds a way to get him open, then Geisler can control paint. If not Birds only have to guard Lipscomp and Geisler.The rest of the team can't beat anyone. That would make it a 5 on 2 game.
