February 4, 200818 yr For Bellichick to just leave the field before the last play? Yes, though its not surprising, I hear he is an amazing person with those that are close to him. He is a jerk to everyone else. I am ellated that they lost. It will be tough for the Pats to rebound from this one.
February 4, 200818 yr If this is anyone else, everyone would be saying "NO" If it was Tony Dungy, it would have been the right thing to do, probably. Im sure he would be going to be with his family or something like that. Except that Dungy would've stayed, like most coaches would.
February 4, 200818 yr If I am not mistaken it was the Giants who only had to kneel down about 15 years ago but tried a handoff instead, fumbled and did exactly as you said. Other team picked it up and ran it in. HB20 wasn't that the Giants? Hate to tell you but that was 30 years ago in '78 vs. the Eagles. Joe Piscark made a poor handoff to Csonka (yes that one) and Herman Edwards scooped it up to score in the "miracle in the meadowlands."

February 4, 200818 yr I still want to know if Brady shook hands after the game. Who cares if Brady shook hands or not. They lost, the Giants won. Get over it.
February 4, 200818 yr From a Yahoo report: "Anyone remember in 2004 when Randy Moss left the sidelines with two seconds left in a Vikings vs. Redskins game? Moss was selfish, a baby, a quitter, didn't respect his teammates, and didn't respect the game. Belichick just did the same thing, but did it on the biggest possible stage, and did it from the position of a leader of men." :thumb: Excellent SportsGuy.....Excellent, great post!
February 4, 200818 yr In all the Hoopla over this game and what could have been most of us including myself have forgotten one important thing.........Kudos to the ONLY undefeated Super Bowl Champion in NFL history.......The 1972 Miami Dolphins!!! :ylsuper::ylsuper: IMO it is fitting that a long time rival of the Dolphins lost the chance to do this, especially when it was the Prima Dona Pats.
February 4, 200818 yr Who cares if Brady shook hands or not. They lost, the Giants won. Get over it. Because if they would've won, he would be mister friendly. You have to show grace in losing, or you simply show your true character.....I think this season has ruined a lot of people's opinions of Brady and Co.

February 4, 200818 yr For Bellichick to just leave the field before the last play? YES! CLASSLESS!! Stay with your team until it reads 0.00 on the clock!
February 4, 200818 yr Who cares if Brady shook hands or not. They lost, the Giants won. Get over it. Wow. Who cares if a guy that many young kids look up to shows some class and good sportsmanship after losing a tough game? I sincerely hope a lot of people do. That's a big part of what's wrong with pro sports today - a serious lack of class and high moral character. I have no idea of Brady did so or not, but it would be a tremendous disappointment to me if he did not.

It's all this "looking for a reason to hate" thing that bothers me. RP understands with all the Duke haters out there. I'm guilty of hating. I have gotten over it. You have to learn that some things in life I or you can't change. Time does that.

I have gotten over it. You have to learn that some things in life I or you can't change. Time does that. I agree with that, I credit Brady for being a sensational QB, and seemingly an overall good dude. This year, his attitude has rubbed me wrong, and with last night's "snub" if you would, it didn't better my opinion. If he appears to be more humble next year, I will likely be back on his side. Not that he cares
February 4, 200818 yr Belichoke had to get out of there ASAP. His ex-wife's attorney was waiting on the Giants sideline to collect alimony. Sadly for her, his superbowl runner-up check wasn't as large.
