Looks like Hazard/Jbs could come out of the 14th and make some noise at rupp. They could either one make it to Saturday morning with the show down with Elliott/Rose Hill or Mason. Should be a great saturday morning game. Lot of work to do before that though!

According to the BGP rankings released on 1/30/08 16 of the top 18 teams are in the top bracket.

Wow, the top appears to be loaded.

 

A lot of potentially very good teams, will be vying for these 16 slots.

I think with everything the seniors went through last year with Clark Co, they won't let that happen again. With that said, we know anything can happen. Mason Co could have played better in that game and I'm sure Montgomery thinks they could have played better.

 

Shall be interesting to see how things play out on February 5th.

 

That is the way our boys felt after Mason Co beat them out the year before....they were determined it was going to happen last year. Mason is the favorite, but I do feel, that Montgomery Co has made big improvements this year and on a given night could knock them off.....we will see.

Seems like we have been for years now.

 

Last year was our good draw. It will be another 5 or 10 years before we get that kind of draw again.

Guess it depends on what you consider a "mountain team"? South Laurel, out of the 13th, won a first round game against Fairdale last year. The last 14th region team to win a first round game was Perry Co. Central in 2004 against Morgan Co.

Your looking at the 7th and the 11th just to get to Saturday night.

 

If Holmes does win the 9th, then IMO: they have an excellent shot to get to the semi's against the 11th region champion again. From there, anything can happen.

 

If someone other than Holmes wins the 9th, the 9th is one & done.

It would be unwise to count out the 7th.

I look at the Draw and I think if Pville or SV comes out of the 15th then either one of them could beat whoever comes out of the 7th. I know that sounds crazy but I especially think and you heard it hear that if Paintsville makes it out of the 15th they will beat any team out of the 7th.

 

Explain this please. What makes Paintsville superior to the 7th region teams? Is it because they play a tough and gritty schedule unmatched to those teams in the 7th? Clue us in.
