January 30, 200818 yr Author The analysts have been saying the Giants, without Tiki and Shockey and their negative energy, might have allowed the team to be better-addition by subtraction- that Tiki's comments over the years and Shockey's constantly wanting the ball were a drain on the team. Could this be true if Chad is traded? They wouldn't have the production from the WR spot, but it didn't do them any good this year any way. If the Bengals get #1, which I doubt, I would draft Ellis or Chris Long. The Bengals do not need Slayton- Dorsey, Irons, Perry are all the same type of back and he is prone to fumbling. The Giants better without Tiki...yes. Shockey...no. Shockey is a team player.
January 30, 200818 yr The Giants better without Tiki...yes. Shockey...no. Shockey is a team player. Not what is being reported in the media. Said he was focused on his catches and would ride Eli to throw the ball to him more because he needed more catches. Which put extra pressure on Eli and he would force passes to Shockey. The point was made that when Shokey went out, it freed pressure on Eli and he responded with his run of good play.
January 30, 200818 yr The Giants better without Tiki...yes. Shockey...no. Shockey is a team player. Ironically Eli's played much better since Shock went on IR...
January 30, 200818 yr He's gone there is no way he is comin back after all this it just won't work out.
January 30, 200818 yr Chris Henry, once he matures, will be every bit of Chad and more. He has the tools to be the next Moss-type receiver. That's a big BIG once.
January 30, 200818 yr I'm done with him... He's such a freaking baby, have fun in Miami, buddy up with Cleo... Peace.
January 30, 200818 yr You'd take Ellis over Dorsey? Mike Mayock of NFL network has Ellis rated ahead of Dorsey; in the Senior Bowl, Ellis was absolutely unblockable! At this point yes, but there is a long way to go until the draft, including the combine.
January 31, 200818 yr CJ was on NFL Network sometime between 4:30 and 6:30 as I fell asleep during that time. However, I did wake up at the end of the show when they were playing quotes from the broadcast, and he did say something along the lines of things aren't right, or things aren't fair. It sounds to me a holdout is on the horizon.
January 31, 200818 yr This is what happens to stars on chronically losing teams. Seems to have happened to the Bengals in the past. I blame the ineptness of the franchise as much as I would blame, Pickens, Dillon, or C. Johnson.
January 31, 200818 yr I am an Ocho Cinco supporter, but if a guy wants out then chemistry won't work well at all. Him and Carson always are arguing anyway, and i would rather have number 9 than number 85. So Chad, more power to you buddy. Hasta Lavista.
January 31, 200818 yr Here's a link from the Enquirer that has some of the transcript from the Rome interview. http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080130/SPT02/301300087/-1/CINCI
January 31, 200818 yr Do you guys think Chris Henry, Reggie Kelly, TJ Houshmanzadeh can all take the load?
January 31, 200818 yr Do you guys think Chris Henry, Reggie Kelly, TJ Houshmanzadeh can all take the load? No someone else will need to be brought in. If Henry sticks around, which I don't think is something an organization should bank on, a better catching tight end might be able to do the trick. We would not be a premier offense without Chad unless the run game got significantly better. If we have to trade Chad, I say we trade for big name defense. Let the offense suffer a little bit, bring in a deep threat some other way (to be coupled with Henry), hopefully the O-line will improve.
