FairFan Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 The McFadden, and Jones thread got me thinking... What are some of the best duo's in the backfield. I would have to say Marion Barber III/Laurence Maroney duo was awesome to watch.

born2reign Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I like the Clemson guys, Spiller and James Davis. I also liked Ray Rice and Brian Leonard from Rutgers last year. All time greats, how about the Pony Express at SMU, Craig James and Eric Dickerson or Mr. Inside and Mr Outside, Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard.
PepRock01 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Does it matter what genre they perform? I could just see Bush and White singing "Islands In the Stream. "
5wide Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown was SCARY good!!! And, the little known fact that Brandon Jacobs was a backup and couldn't even get on the field makes that RB group even more impressive...now, he may be the best of the bunch in the NFL if he can stay healthy.
5wide Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Did Bettis and Ricky Watters play at ND at the same time?
malachicrunch Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 And, the little known fact that Brandon Jacobs was a backup and couldn't even get on the field makes that RB group even more impressive...now, he may be the best of the bunch in the NFL if he can stay healthy. Willie Parker. Same way.
mobaar Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Not really a duet, but Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry, and Travis Stephens at UT.
cshs81 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Not really a duet, but Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry, and Travis Stephens at UT. So they would be like the Bee Gees?
Mack The Knife Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 The greatest tandem of them all was Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard of Army in the late 1940's.
