January 21, 200818 yr Maroney and Barber were my two favorite backs in college. But the best duo of all time would be either be Dickerson/James or Williams/Brown.

That's the first one's I thought of then the "Poney Express". Nebraska also had those stud fullbacks like Slezenger and I forgot the other one.
January 21, 200818 yr Florida State had some great one's too. I'd say Dunn and Ward were the best. You had a run with Dunn, Amp Lee, Pooh Bear Williams, William Floyd, Bennett etc that was solid. Notre Dame had some good one's too during that eara with Bettis, Ricky Waters etc. The 4 horsemen from way back have to be mentioned along with the Army guys. I don't know that anybody has had a run like " The U" had! E.James, Magahee, C. Portis, F. Gore! That is scary!
January 21, 200818 yr And, the little known fact that Brandon Jacobs was a backup and couldn't even get on the field makes that RB group even more impressive...now, he may be the best of the bunch in the NFL if he can stay healthy. I was going to post the same thing. They also had Jason Campbell!
January 22, 200818 yr I liked William Andrews, James Brooks, and Joe Cribbs with Auburn. Also, Ricky Williams and Priest Holmes at Texas are a noteworthy tandem.
