Chargers 28 Colts 24

Featured Replies

I was pulling for the Colts in this one bc of Tony Dungee, the man is the definition of a class act.

I also can't stand Rivers (SD) and him running his mouth today proved why. Classless.

I really hope that whoever wins the AFC, (imo no doubt the Pats) will be beaten by whoever (NYG or GB) comes out of the NFC

So Rivers runs his mouth about, what, as much as a lot of you guys here on BGP?

However you've got to justify it.

Rivers is the NFL equivalent of "that" guy who rolls into a party whereupon his entrance results in a collective eye roll and the subsequent filing out of every guest as they attempt to avoid his ear-piercing narcissism and histrionics concerning his "all-time beer pong record."

What happened to LT that kept him out of the second half today? I was at the bar and couldnt hear the tv.

He was running his mouth at the fans, even after he was knocked out of the game

If you've noticed thats all he has been doing for the past 6 or 7 weeks, probably even the whole year.

I don't think he has any room to be talking smack when this only is his SECOND year in the NFL. Maybe if they win the superbowl he would have some room to talk but still not to the degree he does it.

"Speak softly and carry a big stick" I believe is the correct quote and Rivers should read that a couple times.

I'm really hoping the Patriots put a hurting on him next week!

Well if you see in my first post I said the media, and I was not just talking about the media in Cincy. There have been people in the media outside of Cincy who had said stuff about Chad when he argued with Carson. Yet like when LT gets into a huge argument like Chad did, the media just lets that go really. That is not the only instance though LT has done something over the last year that Chad would have gotten all kinds of crap about, but LT does not. Which I dont see why at all. Its kind of the same thing with how the Chargers actually had more off the field problems over the last two years than the Bengals, yet no one talks about the Chargers at all for having problems its only the Bengals. So I dont know why LT and the Chargers have gotten this free pass. Its pretty much like malachicrunch said, if your winning then no body says anything. I mean when Bengals were winning and Chad acted like that people had no problem. But now when Chad acts the same way and the Bengals are losing, then all of a sudden it is a big problem and he is the reason why they are losing even though he put up career high in numbers. Not much of this makes any sense at all, and it should go both ways...

Find me a who's going to stop 21 list. Let me know when and where he sent bottles of Pepto to other teams defensive players. Show me a Hall of Fame jacket that he put on after scoring a TD. Let me know which playoff game it was that his team was winning when he took a swing at a coach. Post eth interview on here where he says I want out b/c nobody had my back. Do you have any idea what he was upset about yesterday when he was "yelling" at Rivers? It was right after Rivers let him know he wasn't returning to the game. He could have just been mad in general b/c 2 of their 3 best offensive players were standing on the sidlelines w/ the lead and their 3rd was limited all day due to a toe injury. He didn't seem confrontational to me, but I don't know exactly what was said. Its funny to me that you know exactly what was said.

Dang gone it Colts!!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Moving on....where is did Rivers go to college? Swear I have never heard of him until now. By the way, he has got one smart mouth on him!! :lol::lol::lol:

NC State I think.

Oh and Go Chargers! :banana::banana:

Always happy to see the Colts lose.

Seriously, why?

Kudos to the Chargers...that had to be one of the gutsiest playoff performances in NFL history. To beat Indy in the dome running on 6 cylinders at the end of the game is impressive.

This isn't the first time the Colts have shut it down a couple weeks early, only to be a little off and lose their opening playoff game. When will they learn?

And, is it just me, or did it once again seem like the Colts got some huge breaks from the officiating...it reminded me of the Patriots game earlier in the season. The penalty on the Cromartie return was garbage...and there were some questionable pass interference calls, IMO. I guess it doesn't matter since they lost, but it seems to me that they get some really favorable calls, especially at home.

Seriously, why?

Multiple reasons stemming from:

1) Their fans annoy me.

2) We get their games instead of Bengals games here in Louisville.

3) I don't like Peyton Manning.

4) It's one of my great joys in life to be contrary, Colts are one of the most popular teams in the NFL right now, plenty of reason for me to not like them.

Thank you. :thumb:

I (and I'm not the only one, apparently) have found the whole Peyton/Dungy/Colts lovefest of recent years to be nothing short of nauseating. Especially all these "longtime Colts fans" in this area who jumped on board in the last five years or so.

Thank you. :thumb:

Wow...what I am learning about my fellow BGP friends today. :lol::lol:

By the way, I have been a Colts fan for 20 years. Thank you!

It's been over 35 years for me as a Colts fan, back to the end of the Johnny Unitas era. I question some of the bandwagon fans, too, but I have the BALTIMORE Colts memorabilia to prove my longtime devotion.

The replays showed that Addai was clearly held on the Cromartie return. Wayne was in the end zone before going out and Gonzalez didn't step out of bounds, so I don't know about the breaks question, but the Chargers deserved to win. The Colts missed too many opportunities in the red zone.

To reiterate: I have no problem with legit fans. It's the ones who jumped on the bandwagon in the last few years that bug me. Very few people in the Louisville area cared one iota about the Colts when Eric Dickerson and Jeff George played there.
