It's just that a game like this gives the real under dogs hope that the top dogs are human after all!

Scott County turn the ball over a lot in this game. Missed alot of EZ shots. The D was just Great last night, and Scott County was alot bigger than Mason County. I Love the play of Scott County bench. In a rematch they win again. Mason County have to find way to feed Miller the ball inside to be the best team in the State. But for now Scott County is the best team in the State. They have a chance to prove it the floor. Next up Bryan Station on friday at Scott County. Bring on the next test Bryan Station's (Mack)!

I agree with that 100%. Would love to see the teams play again, especially with Miller at his peak and Setty and Middleton without sickness. I know Scott County controlled the game tonight, but who knows what will happen next time.

Ethan King continues to be the most consistent player on a team of inconsistency. He did a really good job on Portwood last night.

I believe Coach Hicks deserves the credit for this win. He made sure the game went at his pace and made sure Miller played as little as possible.

Large crowd in Maysville tonight. I did not see the home court advantage. I do not live in Mason County. I did not graduate from Mason County. I like to watch them play. We like to watch good basketball games. Some of us would have been in the parking lot listening to the radio and heading for home if this game had been in Montgomery County tonight. Gas is to expensive now to get sent home. I say play the game in the bigest gym. Maybe the businesses there should have donated money to build a bigger gym than Mason County has. More seats would have been more important than fancy pots in the bathroom. I hope I will not be left in the parking lot listening to the radio. If 5000 to 6000 people go 2 hours early and try to get a seat at the same time will there be fighting for the seats. Are there enough police in Montgomery County to handle this kind of crowd ?

What does Montgomery Co. have to do with a Scott Co. and Mason Co. match-up? The police in Mt. Sterling have been ordered to arrest idiots, be careful.

2. Scott Co. played well and they were well coached as I would expect them to be.

 

3. Barner didn't play for disciplinary reasons. He made a stupid mistake, is serving his punishment, will hopefully learn his lesson and rejoin his team. It's no one's business what he did.

 

4. Where is the real Darius Miller? I can't wait until he returns!!!!

 

5. This is January and most teams experience a January slump. I beleive it's part of the learning process. January games don't mean anything. It's the ones in March that count.

 

6. A few (not all) of mason's student section were out of line. I'm quite sure they will be dealth with come Monday morning. Scott Co.'s students did a few nasty things as well. It went both ways.

 

I do have a question for anyone out there who knows. Why does the KHSAA send the same 3 officials to Mason County for every game. There are many quality officials in this state, not these 3, and we would like to experience a few more of them. Mr. Thornsbury from Bracken Co. is a quality official and I believe his son refs now as well. Let's give someone else a try.

KHSAA doesn't have anything to do with assigning officials to games. The 10th and 11th Regions use the Bluegrass Basketball Association (BBA) certified referees for all games. There is an assigning secretary who decides which officials do which games.

Thanks for the info. Do refs have the opportunity to request a certain team? Can schools "black list" certain officals. We've seen these 3 so much lately, I swear if they're there tonight I'm gonna barf!

Isnt that what student sections are for. To taunt the other school, and to try to get in their heads to throw them off their game and as far as storming the court, if you beat the number 1 team in the state, on their home floor, and don't charge the floor, their is something wrong with you. Sour grapes IMO.

They only do that during region. So looks like it won't be this year.

Get a grip. I doubt the Mason faithful will be so faithful when the games aren't played in the back yard.

 

The State did widen route 11 in anticipation of your arrival into Mt. Sterling....we just hope its wide enough.
