When you beat a team with as much hype as Mason Co., you're bound to be excited.

From what I've seen lately, there's no way Mason can be considered No. 1 in the state right now.

Mason County did win the JV game tonight 58-48 and that was without starter Phil Barner.Congrats to the youngins on that .

The "big 3" freshman played solid, I am a big fan of the Gilbert kid and think he deserves more time!

I agree. Pawsat played well, and I'm sure the other 2 would as well, given more of a chance.

 

I was very impressed with the jv game. Pawsat, Gilbert and Setty are players. I was impressed with Gilberts ball hadling and passing. He took # 4 off the dribble numerous times and found an open man. I believe that same player was #11 in the varsity game. Pawsat is a warrior and Setty can shoot it and moves well without the ball. These 3 will be fun to watch the next 3 years. Looks like future is going to be strong.

This is at least 3 in a row where Scott Co. tops Mason... 2 on Mason's home floor.

Those kids have been coached well since they were little. Seen them in some aau tournaments growing up. Gilberts dad was their coach and he has done a great job of developing them.

I have seen Gilbert's Dad coach multiple times and think he is class act and a top notch coach, couldn't quite understand why he wasn't the head man for the 8th grade team last year, I think that hurt them. I definatley never liked to see him on the opposite sideline :creepy:

:fight: I do not live in Mason County, but like to watch them play. They played in to many tournaments. Only spent 2 nights at home during Christmas. Hawaii and Lexington for over two weeks in hotels would wear any team down. A worn out team and sick players are not going to win basketball games. Give the boys a break here I believe some doctors visits and some rest at home in their own beds and we will soon see the Royals back in the game again. Vitamins and home cooking may do the trick. What do you think about it Mrs. Dugan ?

Large crowd in Maysville tonight. I did not see the home court advantage. I do not live in Mason County. I did not graduate from Mason County. I like to watch them play. We like to watch good basketball games. Some of us would have been in the parking lot listening to the radio and heading for home if this game had been in Montgomery County tonight. Gas is to expensive now to get sent home. I say play the game in the bigest gym. Maybe the businesses there should have donated money to build a bigger gym than Mason County has. More seats would have been more important than fancy pots in the bathroom. I hope I will not be left in the parking lot listening to the radio. If 5000 to 6000 people go 2 hours early and try to get a seat at the same time will there be fighting for the seats. Are there enough police in Montgomery County to handle this kind of crowd ?

Dont make traveling an excuse because Scott County played in Florida and South Carolina over the holidays. Both teams have traveled, Scott County only has 8 home games not counting the Toyota classic.

Do you need an excuse every time you loose. Next time when you have kids sick keep theme at home. Got a bowl of chicken soup.

I think the key to beating the Royals is to get Miller in foul trouble. Going at him on the inside and trying to draw a charge on him when the Royals have the ball. If that occurs in the regional tournament Mason may be sitting at home during the sweet 16 just like last year.

I think if I was a Mason County fan I would put my party planning on hold for a while! Didn't look like either team had a state championship in them last night, maybe not even a regional! Ugly is the only word that fits.:scared:

Im sure Scott County wont mind it either but its fine with us if you wanna write us off for the region and sweet 16 i much rather you put us in the under dog role.:sleep:
