Reds interested in Josh Fogg

Featured Replies

I would hope the Reds avoid him like the plague. I don't care if he pitched in Colorado and that can raise a person's ERA. GABP might be more hitter friendly nowadays than Coors.

He is another version of Milton, stay far, far away.

Maybe he is worth a shot. He couldn't be any worse than what they have trotted to the mound the last few seasons.

We don't need another ex-Pirate.

I say give him a shot. He could win 10-15 games.

Over 2 full seasons!:thumb:

Fogg is around .500 lifetime, with minimal K's and fairly good control. He's a contact pitcher and pitching in a park like GABP, will not help a guy who allows 24± HR's a year.

His best year is 12-12....If they get him, hopefully will help and right now, 10-12 wins a year in the #4/#5 slot, is a chance I would take.

I agree, if they can't do any better, a guy who has won at least 10 games 5 of the last 6 years would be ok for the 5th starter.

Tough call because you're right on here. GABP could be a bad fit for him but you not looking for an ace--12 wins out of your 5 spot is pretty decent.

I agree, I hope they give him a shot.....can't get much worse than what they have. :thumb:

I think the Reds are done spending money this year...

I hope not, and I don't think they are.

If the Reds sign him and he wins 10-12 games then he will finish as thier #2 starter. No other Red will win more than 12 games except Harang.
