Thats just comical. He took over a team that won 9 games last year and played the #6 team in the country within 6 points.

All Tubby wants to do is coach and teach basketball. At the bigger schools, you don't get to do that like a coach wants to do. Tubby, IMO, doesn't long for the egomanical atmosphere of UK or the likes. He doesn't need his ego petted up. He just wants to coach. And UM is perfect for him.

January 6, 200818 yr Obviously Tubby can coach. I watched the game last night and Minnesota held Nietzel to only 4 points instead of his 14ppg! Big ups to the Golden Gophers. They play the Spartans again at home Jan. 20 Should be a good game with the GG faithful Cheering the team on!!!!!!!

Minnesota played well, but I think it was more of an off night for him.

January 7, 200818 yr No coach can handle the pressure at Kentucky... You might want to look up Rick Pitino's record--he handled it just fine. He also let for the Pro equivalent of UK, the Boston Celtics whose fans can be just about as rough.
