January 7, 200818 yr Todd May Jeff Zeigler Mike Scott Troy McKinley Brandon Stockton Josh Carrier Corey Sears Just to name a few...recruiting is not an exact science. What about the good players from KY we have gotten? I hope you're not saying the list above is "good" UK players?
January 7, 200818 yr IMO is that "IF" Pitino can get everyone back healthy and keep them healthy and put an end to some of the "bad attitude" junk they ave had to deal with then this U.L. team will not just be in the NCAA but is capable of making a deep run it the tourney. :thumb: Agreed. UL has a ton of talent and is capable of winning the BEast and making a final four run. Imo the ball needs to go inside everytime down the court. The only 3's they should shoot is either wide open or from inside out. Eliminating bad shots is a must.

January 7, 200818 yr This isnt Pitino ball. They are very fast paced and shoot alot of 3's.... He doesn't have that ability with this team...yet. They'll be playing "Pitino ball" eventually. But they have to play to their strengths as they are now, and not try to be something they're not.

January 7, 200818 yr What is exactly Pitino Ball? Press and shoot threes? They sure still do that. The game has changed since the early to late 90's. Pressing is not en vogue because teams have adapted to the press. What I see more out of Pitino's teams now is zone. They have the length and athleticism to be pretty solid with it. The key for UL is to continue to play unselfishly in the halfcourt and knock down open shots. They have not done that consistently.
January 7, 200818 yr Part of Pitino's defensive philosophy/preparation is meant to take away the opponets best player. With Jasper and Meeks still not 100% our most consitent player was Patterson. :thumb: Pitino has frustrated better and more experienced players than Patterson with his aggressive double down defense...Tim Duncan and Marcus Camby in 1996 comes to mind. Hopefully, PP will learn from this and become better.
