The All A has been great for the eighth region as evidenced by the distribution of regional championships.

Based on each teams current records, who they have played and where the tournament is being played, Gallatin is a heavy favorite. It will take someone having a career night to beat them.

After watching Walton play last night against a down Owen Co. team I really do not see them pulling off any kind of upset. They were sluggish on defense and they just stood around and waited for somebody to go one on one in there offensive sets. That kind of play will never work against a well balanced Gallatin team. Hope they can find a new game plan by the all A.

I don't know if I'd call Kyle Bennett an excellent coach Mr. Athletics? I think Kyle is a great person with a huge heart, but I'm not sure he has what it takes to get it done. I remember when Walton was once considered a threat in northern kentucky basketball. They had some great teams in the 80's and 90's, but they've only had one great year under coach Bennett, and don't take this wrong I know you have to have the talent to be succesful and WV fights the same battle all small schools battle with lack of talent.

I know Walton has a great AAU program with a lot of talent coming up in grades 2-6, and there is some solid player's in the freshman class, and the cottrell boy in the 8th grade has potential to do some great thing if he keeps developing. I guess my question is how long does Bennett get to stick around if he doesn't win with those kid's coming up. I know the WV faithful and they won't stand for mediocrity.

I am not certain I follow what you are trying to say by the winning record statements here. I know that in all the years I highlghted Gallatin County had winning records. So what is your point saying this?:confused:

I think that he is saying that of the teams that they beat, those were the ones that had winning records. So, if WV did not beat GC during those years, GC would not be included in that number. The purpose of that is usually to point out if you are beating quality teams or not.

Well said I think the record speaks for its self. I think the talent at Walton under a different coach would go alot further. It pains me to say this but a coach like Jones in Gallatin could have done so much more with the past teams at Walton.

Spilly, I agree, I have seen many of these boys play ball through the years on AAU and BCPWFL and there have been some talented athletes.

I would gladly have a son of mine play for Kyle Bennett regardless of his record. He has always had a competitive team when it come to the 8th region class A. Just my opinion.
