8th Region All A Discussion

I would challange anyone to find a more compentant group of coach's than Walton has at the elementary school level. I don't think that making a habit out of getting technical fouls is appropriate at this level either however, you must consider who got them and where they were playing. Things are obviously pretty tough right now but all of the time and effort spent into developing the entire basketball program will eventually pay off.

You're correct, they do have a good group of coach's. However, it doesn't matter who they are or where they are playing, that type of behavior is not acceptable. They should be setting a positive example for the kids. My gosh, we're talking about 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders!

Get back to the thread!!!!!!!

Get back to the thread!!!!!!!

I think we have been on the thread. All the postings since #18 have been about Walton's team. I can't help it if this is a popular topic. What's your thoughts about this thread?;)

For Walton being such a small town they have a lot to talk about. Not only on the boys basketball but also the girls. Is anyone happy?

I'm happy. :D I think it's great that people are interested and talking about the boys program. ;)

I also think that the talk is great about the program but most of the talk here lately has been negative by only a few people who want to talk about things that don't need to be talked about on BGP! As far as the topic of this thread, Gallatin is by far the fovorite with now Owen as a second. Owen has been playing better even if they only have one guy that can score. To beat Owen you only need to play a zone or box and 1. With Walton losing to Owen and Trimble they fall to 3. Walton is better than both of those teams but needs to start playing like one.

Absolutely. You won't find any talk about the Bearcat program in the paper at all. If it's not here or on my radio show (this year), you won't hear it at all. All of these kids deserve the publicity. Big or small school no matter.

Look at Dan Neeley from Owen County last year. One of the best players in the 8th region. Unless you are looking here, you wouldn't know anything about him last year. Now he's playing at Centre and getting minutes on the floor. Nothing in the paper about him at all.

I don't want to get on another newspaper rant here, but I'm just saying that all schools deserve to be talked about. Big or Small.

Everyone needs to take the personal comments to the PM's and get back to discussing the 8th Region All A.

The 1st round match up between Trimble and Walton should be pretty interesting after Trimble's win over Walton this week. At this point, i don't see either team beating Gallatin. I see Carroll coming out of the bottom bracket with Gallatin representing the 8th region at state.

:thumb: I agree.

Agree 100% Weakside:thumb: That could be a good game if Walton let's it. I think that they beat Trimble by 15 or more. Coach Bennett will have them ready to play. Hopefully there will not be anymore let downs by the Bearcats this year. Gallatin goes to the All A state for the 8th
