Mercury Morris is making more people Patriots fans every day

Featured Replies

He may not realize it, but Mercury Morris is making more and more people New England football fans every day. What a jerk.

I think MM has resorted to some of his old self-destructive and illegal habits.

What was wrong with anything he said? He was spot on, there was no disrespect in what he said and all of his points were completely valid.

First of all, the '72 Dolphins (and '73) are my all time favorite team. That said, all I notice is Mercury trying to get some spotlight time for himself and maybe his team.

I never take anything he has to say as that important. He was a guy who admitted to making a vodoo doll of Shula and sticking him with pins when he was out for the season in '74 and believed it was the reason that the Fins were nipped by Kenny Stabler and the Raiders that year in the first round.

He still hasn't made me a fan of the Patriots.

If the Patriots win it all, someone will need to explain to MM that there's a new #1 team on the all-time great list.

I think he just misses the spotlight and this is getting him back in it.

He's milking the attention he's getting in a way he never did before. He was still in jail during the Bears year, and no one else really got closer than 14-0, right? He's just trying to drive his autograph price up, and probably succeeding in the Miami area.

I don't think he's a jerk at all. I agreed with almost everything he said. They haven't won it all yet...

Yeah I agree with that. But he doesnt have to tell us that every week and act like he is crazy.

It's not an act.

The media to blame, not Morris. They're the ones seeking him out, IMO. Why? It sells.

He says at one point that the Pats are unbeaten, not undefeated like the Dolphins, then later says if they win out, he'll welcome them to the ranks of the unbeaten....He is a moron, who can't accept the fact that the Pats are just flat out better than his Dolphins were.

He's very articulate and wants to hang on, to the history of the undefeated Dolphins, for as long as possible. Keep offering the microphone and he'll keep talking....take it away and he'll fade away, just like the undefeated season of long ago.

Patriots are 16-0 in and Dolphins 14-0, in their regular seasons. Tremendous accomplishment by both.

You're letting your passion for the Pats get in the way. He made very valid points. As for your last point, that can NEVER be proven.
