What would be a reason not to? Except for his DUI.

What would be a reason not to? Except for his DUI.

Alot of people dont like his coaching style or the way he is tough on the current players.....

NO....

1 - He's at UK

2 - He seems real sketchy to me

3 - I don't like the way he coaches

that said, I wouldn't want my son playing for Pitino either.

At UK yes. Anywhere else no. But I bleed blue like many people here.

Yes. It's funny - Patterson and his family have stated how great of a guy he is. Did he not drive Patterson all the way home when one his friends died? I believe that was in this year's Cats Pause book.

I am sure he's under a lot of stress and pressure right now. He knows he has to win. He knows he has unpatient fans. He has to find somewhere to put his bags of money.

I grew up a Die Hard U.K. Basketball fan and always will be. As a boy I dreamed like many others of playing for the Wildcats. U.K. Basketball IS Kentucky.

So yes, if I had son and he was talented enough to play major college basketball and at a tradition rich program and top notch University like U.K. and they wanted him I certainly would.

BCG is a good basketball coach, he is not as experienced and some we have had in the past and I supported his hiring even though his lack of experience concerned me about him going to a place like U.K.. I guess that time will tell if he has what it takes to stay or not.

I don't mind a coach have strong dicipline if that was one concern for the question, imo strong dicipline is a must have for a coach. But what parent that as I said grew up in this state idolizing U.K. players and coaches would not be proud to have so play at U.K., for anyone?

Players today have a hard time accepting tough coaching. It would be an honor for my son to play at UK for BCG. I would support him all the way.

UK, because of tradition and fans, is the hardest coaching job in the NCAA without a doubt. We needed discipline and we needed a change. Give this guy a chance to get his style of players and play BCG ball and then throw your punches.

I would have to see how he recruits and how he develops not only players but people as well. That is yet to be determined in my book.

My son played high school ball but was not good enough to play at the next level. If he had been, I would love for for him to play for the Big Blue.

Not knowing the man personally, I have no way of giving an educated answer. I really don't see how anyone could unless they know him.

No. Not if the rumors swirling around BCG are true. I would not hesitate to encourage my son to say no to Kentucky and head north to Minnesota.

I am guessing that if Gillespie does not begin using a little discretion in how he lives his personal life, recruiting will suffer and UK will be looking for somebody more like Tubby to head the program.

Billy Clyde does not seem to be much of an "X and Os" guy and if he can't convince the parents of talented recruits that their boys will be in good hands at UK, what will be left? Will he be recruiting from the pool of players that only a Bobby Huggins or Tark could love?
