If the the rumors are true. I would strongly discourage my son from playing for BCG. After a few recruiting visits I would be better able to judge this. I would never encourage my kids to associate themselves with an alcoholic womanizer. If---If thats what he is.

Any kid would be proud to put on a Kentucky uniform, especially Kentucky boys because it means something to them. Every program has its ups and downs. Its part of life. UNC, Duke, UCLA, IU....everybody went through the same thing that UK is going through now and look where they ended back up. Its just UK's turn.

I voted "yes" but like many folks reserve the right to change my answer based on him being at UK. I would want my kid at UK regardless of the coach. I'm not sold on Billy Clyde, but I never was, even when he was at A&M.

I didn't know if you were 5-6 and your biggest win of the year came against 4-9 Tennessee Tech, you were a top college basketball program. I know the awesome history of Kentucky, but this is this year. I have a lot of respect for Kentucky and their history, but this basketball team is just plain bad. If I had a big time recruited son, I wouldn't want him to go Kentucky. Also, I don't think Billy G is that great of a coach. He did some good things at A&M, but I just don't think he is the right fit for Kentucky...

That's a valid argument, there's nothing wrong with saying that, but your argument before just wasn't a good one at all.

I would say a good majority of them in Kentucky actually remember it. I never talked about people outside of Kentucky just those inside that state.

Duke the past 10 seasons - 302-53 (1 NC, 3 Final Fours)

UNC -239-101 (1 NC, 3 Final Fours)

UK - 263-83 (1 NC, 1 Final Four)

 

I would say over the past 10 years that UK has had a better program than UNC. Programs have to do with success over many seasons and UK has won 20+ 17 seasons in a row. I don't think many other teams can say that. That will probably come to an end this season, but I know that I can handle a bad year or two because every team goes through that.

I would say 'no' at this point...first impressions have been, well, let's say...'challenging'

^ Ok....so at best you were eight...it is obvious they aren't getting there this year. Let's say it is another 3-4 at least until they get to the final four.....how many of our current 13-14 year olds remember watching UK in a Final Four? I bet close to zero.
