December 23, 200718 yr Without Bradley and Crawford, UK takes an 8-point lead into the half. With Bradley and Crawford, they win by 22 points. Thats a very good point...Add Jasper and Meeks and things could be very interesting...:thumb:
December 23, 200718 yr Good job of holding them to just 47 total points. Patterson dominated, and Bradley had a nice game...
December 23, 200718 yr Here is a Link saying why Bradley and Crawford did not start... http://www.amnews.com/public_html/?module=displaystory&story_id=37128&format=html
December 23, 200718 yr He hit your minute "quota" at the half. If you were calling the shots and sat him, you'd see the fun of the life as the UK coach. When your best available player can play, you keep the guy on the court. Next... You may keep your guy on the court for that night but it looks as if I was right about overplaying Meeks, who reportedly sat out with a hip flexor strain.:thumb: Funny story. If Gillispie sat Meeks after that 1st half and UK was blown out........ we'd hear the opposite things from the same people... If Gillespie would have sit Meeks after the first half he would have played tonight!:thumb:

There is no way in the world he was ready to play as many minutes as he played against Houston. Good call SvFan.:thumb:

It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that you don't play someone that many minutes when they're coming off of a hip related injury! :thumb:

Its quite another to step into an intense road game and play 30 minutes. There's just no way he was ready for "basketball legs" at this point. I hope he is able to get to 100% before SEC play.
December 23, 200718 yr PP has said along with his mother that he is staying for 4 years.... I hope so and I have heard the same thing out of them. "Mom" wants him to get a college degree and right now anyway he seems to want the same thing. Hopefully it will stay like that. Should Patterson stay 4 years imo he will be considered one of the best ever at U.K. by the time he is done.

December 23, 200718 yr I'm not trying to just continue to argue or anything, but honestly I could go down to the local gym and pick up 4 guys and give Tennessee Tech a good game. Without Bradley and Crawford, UK takes an 8-point lead into the half. With Bradley and Crawford, they win by 22 points. From the article that was listed in this thread..... In fact, he (Sutton, TT's coach) said UK was better than Florida -- a team that beat Tech 93-65 on Nov. 11 -- based on what he had seen and that he thought both would be NCAA Tournament teams. If you could pick up 4 guys and give TT a good game, Billy D's team in Florida must be the worse team in collegiate basketball, your knowledge of basketball is horrible, or your are overdoing it a bit.

Florida is horrible this season, as well. I have watched every team in the OVC play multiple times in the past few years and my basketball knowledge is just fine. Thanks for checking.

December 23, 200718 yr So, is Florida horrible because Billy D is a poor recruiter or a poor coach? Florida is horrible because their entire team is playing professionally now. They have good recruits and a good coach, but they are so young that that doesn't really make a difference. Florida is simply in a rebuilding season.
