Star WR at Bowling Green...

IMO, D.L. is still a work in progress. However, I think someday he will be starting at the D1 level. Just was not impressive in the state game on offense as well as safety on defense... Congrats all the same on a fine year!

All about 6'6 and fast.

Give 'em the dough (6'6"/fast), and they'll make the bread! (or should it be 'bred...as in thoroughbred?) I guess size DOES matter! #84 was WAY more the impressive reciever...and he BLOCKED, too!

D.L. Moore had 4 balls thrown to him in the state championship game and caught 3 of them. He had 63 catches for 1350yds and 13 TD's on the year. Every defense Bowling Green faced had to gameplan for DL Moore. His final 3 were South Carolina, Purdue, and Colorado.

D.L. broke all of the season and career receiving records at BGHS. He's a superb talent who's only going to get better. Under Coach Spurrier at SC, he's got his chance. My niece has a husband who got his undergraduate and MBA degrees at SC, and he's going to be very pleased about this! Work hard and set 'em on their ear, D.L.! Have a great career there!:thumb::D

Just curious if any BGHS fans can confirm a rumor I heard. Went to watch BGHS play basketball on Wednesday and D.L. had a great game. Went yesterday and he wasn't playing. Several people at the game stated that South Carolina told him he had to drop the roundball this season. If that is so I think it's a shame for D.L. because he's a really talented roundballer as well. On the other hand I can see USC's position not risking injury and needing some serious time in the weight room.

I personally have always felt that if there was one sport that you knew you had a chance to make it in, and really make it (as in high D1 and possibly NFL), that you should focus on that one. IMO the risk of injury is not worth it for D.L., when he has so much potential ahead of him in that sport.

I would've said the same thing of Dewalt from Central, Urritia from Fern Creek, or any number of talented players I've seen over the years.

Anyone want to take bets that SC has him pegged for a Tight End. If they are asking him to find his way to the weight room I'd bet that is the plan there. Look at the highest rated TE for this years draft, Fred Davis at Southern Cal. Came out as a highly regarded WR and leaving as the TE.

DL Moore is playing basketball and will never be a TE at South Carolina.

Must have been a rumor. He's in the game right now!

Why wouldn't he ever be a TE? 2 Years of solid weight training and he could easily be up around 240 to 245. He only has fair speed for a wideout (4.6 to 4.65), but now you use him like a Jacob Tamme and you have a force to reckon with.

The most Moore will ever weight will be about 200-205. He does not have the build to be a 240 lb guy.
