Who did Rose Hill play the night before? What region was that team from? Isn't Henry Clay an 11th Region team?

They were rated 8th in the Courier- Journal's Coaches preseason top 25.. That same poll had Rose Hill at 23rd.

Rose Hill is evidently way overrated.

I would agree with overrated. They have a couple really nice prospects but Elliot County owns this region until someone can prove different.

I will agree with you on this. But dont try to convince anybody from Rose Hill that they are overrated.

Rose Hill does have two talented sophomores in Chad Jackson and Dakota Euton, but the rest of their supporting players need to greatly improve to give them a chance to be competitive come tournament time.

This was posted on another forum, didnt believe it but it seems to be true so far.

 

Come on u RH fans, gotta stay behind your boys better than this. A Saturday game is hard to get pumped for. Tired from the Friday night games.

A couple of 3-point wins against Fairview and Morgan County, a nice win against Boyd County within the 16th. Thumped by both out-of-region foes; once to a decent but not great Marshall County team, and by a pretty good Henry Clay squad although they lost by 35 their last time out. Right now it doesn't look like Rose Hill is a top 25-caliber team. As we all know, RH has some die-hard supporters here on BGP and there's nothing wrong with supporting your team, but the Royals simply don't have enough help for "the big 2" to handle teams like Henry Clay. In the 16th, they could make the regional finals; and over here in the 10th, which is down this year, they could make some noise. Put them in the 7th or 11th region this year, and in all probability they would have a sub-.500 region record.

 

Now - did anyone go to the game? Anyone at all? Was it a reasonably close game where the lead got extended late; or was it a blowout all the way? How did Moses for HC look - when I saw them two weekends ago they looked pretty average.

This game was tied until about half way into the third. Rose Hill just seamed to run out of gas. Henry Clay is a very good team. They will give fits to any team from this region. As far as I could tell they only played seniors and they are very athletic. Moses is a load and can score from outside as well as inside.

Rose Hill got some very good play from Quackenbush. He is turning into a player.

Victor Moses played limited minutes in the first half, but really turned it up in the second half. He is a very passive person by nature and can play like a top 10 player in the state when he is able to turn up his intensity a notch or two.

 

Aaron Boyd was on his recruiting visit to UK and did not play. He really wasn't missed against Rose Hill. This Blue Devil team is no world beater, but they do have some outstanding athletes. I fell they will continue to look great one night, and very poor the next. It is all about protecting the ball against their pressure.
