Yeah, but you liked the Dead Poets Society. The original previews didn't indicate vampire/zombie, but they did indicate that there was something scary lurking in the darkness. The later previews actually showed them. I think it would've been better if maybe they had begun with the woman, seeing some of the events from her point of view (obviously we could've seen Will Smith's character still through the media depiction of him). Then go strictly to Smith until her character meets up with him. I understand what you mean about her being too convenient, but at least it made sense (it was at the dock where he said he'd be everyday, so she was naturally going to wait for him there).

As soon as the credits came on, everyone at the theater looked around and talked about how horrible it was. Not only was he horrendous in the role of this "super intelligent doctor who is crazy enough to have conversations and fall in love with manacins but yet, create medicines capable of saving man kind" - but even if he had played it brilliantly - a role like that is not getting an oscar nomination. Oh, and furthermore, while it did appear that Heath Ledger will be an awesome Joker - that is another roll that will not get anyone an oscar nomination. And besides, the film doesnt come out until summer - which will be after the 2008 oscars and too early to be in contention for 2009. Listen folks - do not waste your money on this movie. It is absolutely terrible. The monsters or whatever look like the animation in Jimmy Nuetron. Will Smith over acts so bad its embarrasing to watch. The plot is overused and foolish. Its just a bad, bad movie.

I don't think Smith overacted it... I think he acted it quite well. I don't see the plot as "foolish." While it is highly unlikely there will be these "dark seekers" in this day and age I don't see it as too far fetched that our science and technology finds something that they think will help us that ends up harming us. My biggest complaint was that I wanted to see something like thriving NYC again or something to that effect. I didn't like how they pretty much said "Dr. Neville died for the cure, and then the cure worked..." Throw on an additional ten minutes on the movie and show me. I thought when the woman showed up and saved him it was going to be the "compound #6" test... til a friend reminded me she was locked behind the glass...

It was just the characters and their motivations. Is it really believable that a super genius doctor can be smatr enough to make these medicines capable of saving mankind while being insane enough to talk to, and attempt to pick up, a manacin? I loved his reaction when the helecopter blew up, as well. You don't think he over acted? His dialouge and presentation seemed so forced. I think you can pretty much tell if you watch, that he isn't happy with his work.

December 17, 200718 yr I thought Legend was a pretty good movie. The Shelby Cobra opening scene was great. by the way, i can not wait unitl Dark Knight comes out. The joker looks awesome:ylsuper:
