Anyone seen it yet?

Just got back from it, and it was very good in my opinion...

Will Smith was brilliant.

^ They have an early showing or something?

It came out today...

I was going to check it out last night but it sold out before we could. :irked:

I saw it too, I am very tough on movies but this one was very good. There wasn't anything really spectacular about the movie, but overall it was a solid, entertaining film with a good plot, something that is getting harder to find.

Glad to hear this. I'll probably go see it next week sometime.

Didn't really like the end... Other than that I liked it...

Went to see it but it was sold out. I'll go next weekend.

Agreed...

And I hope Will Smith gets an Oscar nomination. (Though, from the previews I'd say Heath Ledger as The Joker will very likely be a top candidate)

*SPOILER ALERT*

I know that Hollywood is infamous for making movies with too happy of endings, but in this scenario I think it would've improved the film if Neville had lived. I mean, it's not like the movie didn't have its share of heart-tugging sadness, so a happy Hollywood ending would've actually made it better I believe. It would've been a good combination of downs and ups as opposed to downs with a small insignia of hope (the fact that we didn't get to see further results of his 'cure' doesn't necessarily leave me feeling like his death meant something).

This was a very depressing movie.

***DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT AND STILL DO, SPOILER***

I have heard that there have been movies already made like this where a guy is the "last on earth" and someone comes along and then he dies. My father told me it was called Omega or something and instead of an illness, it was a nuclear bomb with mutants.

This was a very depressing movie.

The Omega Man with Charlton Heston. I've never seen it, but I've seen the Simpsons parody called the Homega Man where Homer was the last man alive (until he discovered the rest of the family survived due to the layers upon layers of lead paint in the house that protected them from radiation), but the rest of the town was turned into mutants.

Come on guys, there shouldn't be spoilers posted in a thread until it is posted in the title by a mod.

Am I the only one who thought the plot was pretty much along the lines of 28 Days Later, without the zombies?

Pretty good movie, i was sad when the dog died
