Wouldn't you think a "Mr. Football" award would go to a player who is most likely to go on and play major college football? Just curious is any of these guys have offers to do just that?

As far as I know, there is no written criteria to define who Mr. Football is. It is up to each voter to determine there own criteria.

 

Is it:

 

Best statistical player? Best college football prospect? Best career player? Best offensive player? Best player from the best team? All the above? Etc., Etc.

I don't think Mr. Football should come down to one game. To my knowledge, it hasn't before has it?

 

As far as criteria goes, everyone has a different criteria. I don't remember the weak schedule arguement working against Travis Atwell of Hancock County in 1999.

 

I'd vote for Robinson based on a season-long body of work.

I don't want to knock Farris, but he wasn't one of the top 4 backs we faced this year.

Its not about how many good backs you faced this year. Its about how a back did over a course of a season , so his numbers are pretty darn good , wether against T or anyone else on their schedule . Saying that i believe he should be a finalist!!!

Maybe i am missing the point , but the way i understand it . You are saying he shouldnt be consider because Mr. Farris did not do to well against you . Remember , he lead the state in rushing this year , and they did play a real good schedule . If i recall , boone passed more than ran against T because that was their game plan.

Farris is a very good running back, but besides Trinity did he face any good defenses all year? If so, how did he do? I may be completely wrong on the kid, but I was more impressed with other rbs. Of course, my opinion means nothing re Mr. Football.

Thats ok , I just would like you to keep a open mind about him . They did play good defenses, like Male , Owensboro , Ryle, Scott County , and he did do well against all of them . I think 200 plus yd. against most of them.

This is coming from a Belfry fan, but Mister Cobble, and/or the Central LB #52, deserve my vote as players most valuable to their team's championship runs.

 

He was definately a key role in them winning. Is his first name Mister and his last name Cobble? If so I think it's a great name.

Only saw him once. Didn't do a ton in that game. I can only comment on games I saw (Highlands games) and the only candidate I saw in those games was #41 for the Birds!
