Not sure but most on here felt like they were 6th or so.

 

 

I don't see how anyone could say there were overrated then. They played Ashland to a 6 point game on the road. Wasn't Ashland rated 3rd or 4th in the preseason?

It's late and this old timer must go to bed now. The Officials evened the calls towards the end of the 3rd quarter but before that Boyd recieved most of the calls and breaks by the officials. They also missed about 12 walking violations by the Boyd Guards, 12 is a low guess. That's my story, so long and good night.

Interesting game to watch. Danny Coleman and Ryan Bonner played overall good games. I thought Boyd would be better than what they showed tonight but Coach Zornes will have them ready by season's end. I thought the officiating was consistent. Consistenly poor. Ashland is the only team that gets hammered at HOME. I am glad that our boys prevailed and Coach Biggs did a good job of making crucial adjustments. We got the shots we wanted and if that five point swing wouldn't have happened it would have been a 15 point victory. We play again tomorrow night against Ironton, which should be a big blow out for the Tomcats!

No way this is a blow out , Ironton kicked our butts last year.:scared:

Does anyone think that Bonner's technical was uncalled for?

For those of you who attended is Boyd overrated?

 

I would say they are a little bit ahead of where I thought they would be at this time. With 45 sec. to play they were down 4 and had the ball and lost it without getting a shot on a moving screen call. They could have won this game, and probably should have. Two things are for sure about Boyd, Zornes is gonna have them playing defense, and nobody in this region should out rebound them so if they cut down the turnovers, they are gonna have a chance. So if they are ranked 5th or 6th thats about where they should be.

I think that BC is overrated. We had a very poor night shooting the ball. We should of won by alot more of a margin than we did.

Plus, I dont get where everyone keeps saying that Boyd is overrated. They are rated at 6th. It is not like everyone has them at 2 or 3.

 

Dont know why fans in the 16th Region cannot just say we won, and good game by both teams. Never seen so many fans that want to complain about winning.

 

BTW...the 16th Region isnt rated by BCS standards, it doesnt matter how much you win by. A win is a win. If you are trying to win by the same margin as teams like Elliott County, then you best start practicing more.

Good luck with that. Over here if you don't win by a bunch something must be wrong, but if you blow someone out you have no class. There must be a margin of victory that satisfies everyone. I think you have to win by 24 points on the nose to keep everyone happy.

Good point and have seen a lot of those posts this year already as well.

 

I am not sure fans could ask for much more then what they have gotten so far this year:

 

A close Greenup/Russell Rivalry Game. A close Boyd/Ashland Rivalry Game. A close Rivalry Fairview/Rose Hill Game.

 

Greenup/Russell was a good district game and a barnburner. Rose Hill beat Fairview and everyone crys that Fairview is underrated by losing and already being ranked 5th, and lost to the number 2 team. Boyd loses to Ashland, which is ranked 2-3 in everyones polls, and everyone cries that Boyd is overrated at the number 6 spot, after beating a good West Carter team.

 

Not sure of all the Biased opinions, but all I know is I will be in Rupp supporting whichever 16th Region team that is there. I can pretty well guess that my local team will not make it, but I will support them thru the whole season as well.
