Or maybe a Trent Green shot to the head, a la Geathers. :p

Wasn't that a few years ago. Get over it! I heard some kid in one of my classes the other day saying Pitt should take Brady out like they did Carson. Both claims are just absurd.

That's what Trent Green gets for trying to walk to the first down marker. :p

Yes, I hate the Pats more than the Steelers.

And I hate the Pats as well, yet pity is the word I'd choose for the Bengals.

Kind of how I see it as well.

I agree. Did you see that play against the Eagles where they chased him ten yards backwards and he fired a completely accurate pass to Gaffney for the first down, though it was dropped? I've been as big of a Brady critic as anyone the last few seasons, but for him to have the moxie to find, and accurately pass to, an open receiver while backpedaling away from two guys in his face was most impressive to me.

I'm just impressed by his cool and calm no matter the circumstances. You never see him get happy feet. The way he plays doesn't change whether he's throwing for 5 TD's and never getting touched, or whether he's getting pressured and knocked on his back and struggling to throw one TD. No other QB, IMO, can match him in that area and that is the single biggest thing that separates him from the rest. That's why I give him the edge over Manning...I think Manning can sometimes get rattled when things don't go his way.

Let's breakdown the matchup:

QB: Pats

RB: Steelers

OL: Pats

WR: Pats

TE: Even

DL: Even

LB: Steelers

DB: Steelers

ST: Pats

Tom Terrific doesn't let the Pats lose....

NE-28

PIT-21

I would disagree a little bit...

QB - Patriots

RB - Steelers

WR/TE - Patriots (I group them together)

OL - Patriots (slightly)

DL - Patriots

LB - Steelers

DB - Patriots

ST - Patriots

I think the Patriots might have the best defensive line in the NFL...Warren, Wilfork and Seymore are all studs, and Jarvis Green is no slouch.

I also give the Patriots a little edge in the secondary. I don't think the Steelers have a corner who plays at the same level of Asante Samuel. After that, I think Hobbs is a very good second corner, Harrison is a big physical presence and a very smart football player...and the depth they have there is pretty good. Maybe I'm underestimating the Steelers, but after Polamalu, they really don't have a player that stands out to me. As for Polamalu himself, I think he excels at creating confusion near the line of scrimmage...pass coverage is not his strength. They thrive on creating confusion and pressure with their blitz packages, which in turn makes their secondary look better. If you can protect your QB, I don't think their DB's would hold up nearly as well as the Patriots in pass coverage. That's just my take though...maybe some Steelers fans can set me straight.

I think the Steelers have a shot if they put pressure on Brady that the O-line can't account for. Difficult task at best. Brady doesn't rattle and stands in there til the last second. Have to double Moss. Offensively the Steelers have to run the football and Slick Willie and the O line will have to be much better than past weeks.

I'd feel better if we hadn't had an idiotic DB go ahead and "guarantee" victory. He must be trying to follow in the footsteps of Joey Porter and Lee Flowers before him.

I'm not even sure that could be categorized as a guarantee..."If we score more points then them I guarantee we win" is what he basically said.

I don't really like the Steelers or the Patriots but if I have to pick then I'm hoping the Steelers win.
