You can say that again hats off to the Green Wave they are a tough bunch! Also the band is the BEST I have seen! The tiger defense was it's usual self unbelieveable! Great to see Duece back on the field. Hope he can be a factor next week.

IMO, let JS vent. HIs very talented team went down tonight and he had a lot of pride in this team. It showed and Meade represented themselves well.

What inaccuracies are you talking about? Does T have a player from outside Jefferson County? Does X have a player from outside Kentucky? Do you really want to compare the population of Meade County to Jefferson County? Respect is given when received. JS- be proud of your team and its accomplishments this year.

Here we go...:cry: Public/Private - Why doesn't T/X win Baseball, Basketball, every year?

 

How come we are succesful in Football?

 

1. Kids from "all over" pay $10,000 in tuition annually

2. School hires a good coach

2. Coach attracts as many kids in school as he can to play football

3. Lift weights and condition everyday of the year

4. Practice relentlessly

5. Get unconditional support from the parents/alumni

6. Believe

 

As far as kids from other states - lets speak facts - we are talking about kids from Indiana, I don't know of any kids commuting from other states to attend school.

 

Southern Indiana is across the bridge - It is part of Kentuckiana - It is not long distance. It is part of Louisvile in most situations - As a matter of fact people in this state work in Louisville and people in Louisville work in this other state. I believe the AD at Jeff lives in Louisville - How is that fair? :laugh:

RP, I agree, a backhanded compliment, but I figured this would be coming. Congrats to Meade on a nice season. One more W fellas.

Well last week I won the lottery and since our team has a bunch of seniors I decided to buy a neighborhood and give the houses away to displaced families from Hurricane Katrina. I found this one family who has a son that is 6'4" and weighs 325 but runs a 4.2 40 so I gave them a house and since Kentucky Connects to Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Tenn., Virginia, West Virginia and part of California had all the other states not been in the way we decided to change our Public School to a private school and charge $10,000 a year for all the rich smart kids and went to all these states and found the best players in the country and told them they could come here and go to school for free. We also got volunteer retired teachers to work for free so we could sink all the tuition into our football program and believe it or not we had enough money to get Bill Belichick from New England but now we have a problem every kid in america now wants to come here and play football so we put in a loophole that states if any 2 states have a town with the same name those states can be considered a part of the state where you want to go play football. So now we have 100 5 star atheletes playing schools that if they are lucky may have 1 5 star athelete in a decade. We have now won 29 of the last 30 state titles and rub it in to all the little guys and the one year we did not win it was actually taken away from us because we hired former Hoover High School football coach Rush Propst and he changed one of our kids grades without the knowledge of the school, and that kid is now a star QB in the NFL! Well was until he had a run in with some dogs. The whole point of this is if a kid lives in Indiana they go to an Indiana school not to a private school in Kentucky. You have to be a resident in Ohio to go to school there and it should be that way for every state. Not saying if my son was asked to come to Louisville to play foot.... I mean go to school for free on scholarship I would say uh Yeah!!! Because of all the exposure he would get playing in a state title game every year he is in High school, but does that make it fair? No! But until there is a solution to this problem we will see 2 teams trade years winning the title in 6A and they are both very good and a real joy to watch. What? Ok, well I gotta go I just heard there is a kid on the phone that want to come here next year that rushed for 6,000 yards and scored 120 TD's in just 10 games this year. Well looks like #30 is just around the corner.

Great win by X over a red hot Meade Co team that gave Owensboro its only loss until the Red Devils' loss to the Purples tonight! Hard to believe that they lost their first three games, and that third loss was to Greenwood!!:eek:

 

I'm pulling for the Tigers to make it a perfect season next week...no offense intended for the T folks, but the X folks were super when we played them in 2005 and 2006 in two outstanding ball games! Still hopeful of a home-and-home in the near future!:thumb:

X had too much for Meade tonight. Meade could not get anything going. We were overmatched. I am proud of the way the Greenwave turned their season around. I do not want this to sound like I am disrespecting anyone so please don't take this wrong but, It is hard for a public school to compete with the likes of X and T. We have kids on our team that are in our school district only. As a public school we were playing against kids from all over the state and kids I believe from out of the state. The best of the best. I take nothing from X, they were and are the better team. We can talk about this until our faces turn blue. But everyone must agree that any public school consistantly cannot compete with X & T with the way they pull in players state wide. Greenwave you have nothing to be ashamed of. You gave it your all and that is all anyone can ask of you. Good luck St X and Trinity with what you have you are where you should be. This should be a great game next Saturday. Once again the never ending debate. If you look at the rosters for both X and T, virtually every kid came from Catholic grade schools. Yet when they win, it must be because of recruiting. The fact is that they work extremely hard year round and have earned their place in the state final. I'm not sure how long you can continue to beat a dead horse, but I guess it won't ever happen. Good luck to X and T in the finals.

St.X was very impressive Oxnard on Defense! You were correct. I was impressed across the board. The front four was unstoppable. The size and strength of those young men is second to none. #28 the free safety was a physical specimen. I wasn't sure if I was at a divison two college game, but when I saw Meade it reminded me, I was at a high school game.

 

On a side note, the new stadium was very nice. Enjoyed the game, use your connections and get a jumbo tron video screen. ST.X deserves it. That would be the icing on the cake.

Meade fans were out in full force, and St. X fans gave the Meade County band a huge ovation for their half-time show. Classy Meade band played toward the home team. X took a knee at the end, rather than run up the score. Great sportsmanship all-around.
