I think he loves Scott Co. just as much as I love my Mason Co. Royals.:sssh:

I think Ron does an excellent job with these lists. I met him at the 5/3 a few years ago and noticed his big notebook that he carries with him to the games. He isn't just going on what he's heard. I think he has seen over 80% of the players that are on his lists. I don't know of anyone else who can say that.

No offense taken mortgagegeek, I have been watching basketball for more years than I care to admit and some of the most notable players and games I have witnessed have involved your Mason County Royals. You have a right to be proud. One of the most memorable was watching Lofton playing AAU as a seventh grader and being absolutely sure that I was seeing something special. It is really nice when good things happen to such an outstanding young man. I believe this is going to be a great year in the Bluegrass and I am looking forward to some great games involving Miller and company. The Royals also have some good underclassmen coming up.

Looks pretty good. Is Ferguson from Elliott County really 6'3"? Also, is Timmy Knipp really 6'6"? They must've grown since the Sweet 16.

Wireman, players heights drive me nuts as they are listed differently from program to program and from source to source. The worse I ever saw was at a Nike camp a player stated he was 6-41/2 and we actually saw him measured at 5-11 barefoot. I find some of the underclassmen have the ability to "shoot up" but I have seen players listed at four different heights in the same year.

Ferg is a solid 6'2" and Timmy is atleast 6'6". Timmy is closer to 6'7".

As Ron noted, there are many, many more players that are as good as or better than several of the kids on this list but aren't seen in summer camps or AAU tournaments or aren't on high-profile teams, and therefore, don't get the exposure. Stats (not just scoring averages but shooting percentages, rebounds, assists, steals, turnovers, and so on) bear out the cream of the crop.

And stats, other than high scorers don't get much attention on the AAU circuit either.

They called Setty from Mason 6-4 at Sheldon Clark the other night and he was standing beside of Miller and was the same height if not a smidgeon taller. Which would put him at 6-6 or 6-7
