I have to say that the game will be between Highlands and Bowling Green. It will be a very close game and no one will be able to tell who will win until the very end. I say that Bowling Green will pull it off at the end.

I don't think Highlands has the easiest path to the championship. If you put the Pulaskis , Letcher, Johnson Central, Lincoln teams in the West, they would have an impact on who comes out of the west. That being said, Highlands is the favorite to win....the championship.

Good luck Lincoln...walk softly and carry a big stick:sssh:

Easy now. You really think Pulaski/Letcher/Johnson could beat Owensboro/John Hardin/Bowling Green? Have you seen those teams play? Lincoln is the number four team left in Class 5A by a lot. They can compete with Highlands, but it will take a herculean effort for them to win.

I would love to see a rematch of the 1995 State Title game but this time, Highlands will avenge the loss to the Purples. BG beat HHS pretty well in that which was Dale's first year at HHS. You think he has forgotten that? I think not. I am sure it is burning in the back of his mind like a painful winter itch.

I wont say the outlandish predictions of 35-point victory, but I do have the Birds coming out on top this time.

All I know is I want to see a Highlands/BG final game! :ylsuper:

Well, we actually have to get through the Dungeon first. However, I do think that we will get through that. It should be another very close game. However, after we get out of the Dungeon, we go to the Palace to meet Highlands (I think they will pull off a win as well).

At the Pizza Palace, I do think you will see a rematch of that game. It will be a closer rematch, however, I do think the outcome will be the same. The Purples will be the first team to beat Highlands twice in the State Championship game. No, I don't think Dale has forgotten the beating, and he will not forget this one either!!!! I think he should seek medical help for that painful winter itch that is burning in the back of his mind!!!!!

Seriously, I like both teams a lot, however, I have to pull for Bowling Green....not just because they are my team, but because they do have what it takes to pull it off. They have been to the Palace several times and not walked away with the win. I don't think you will see this this time.

No matter, we will not know the outcome until the game is played. Both Highlands and Bowling Green have to play one more game before we can even think about this one. Got to take it one game at a time. Good luck to both teams in their game and hope to see both at the Palace. IF they both get there, good luck to both teams....both teams deserve the win. No matter who does not pull off the win, the two teams that get to the Palace need to be VERY proud just to have gotten there in the first place!!!!

Both teams have the "ITCH" however, sometimes an itch can't be reached.

Go Purples.....you have what it takes to bring home the title!!!!!

Play to have fun and build memories!!!!!

I appreciate your enthusiasm for your team. I really hope that you are wrong. I don't think that Dale needs any medical attention. I think he will be soothed 17 times over when he gets to hoise the big trophy and and get the Gatorade shower. That can prove to be quite clensing I hear.

Highlands wins it all . Pure and simple !!

Three field goals and a safety ? A touchdown and two safeties ? A touchdown go for two and a field goal ? Four safties and a field goal ? 11 is a strange number for a football score .
HHS has been #1 all year. Shouldn't it be the other teams battling it out to see who gets to play the #1 team. Oh wait, I guess Highlands is ducking all the "good" teams. The KHSAA took pity on the 'Birds and set it up so they could cakewalk to the title game.
It is Fort Thomas, right? :D

It has happened.....A field goal, touchdown, and a safety.

11 points were scored by ST X in a playoff game against T in the early 70's!!!

Like I said before, I am really proud of these two teams and it will be a shame for either one to walk off not a winner. I think BOTH teams are winners!!! I just quoted you post earlier to let you and everyone know that this game is not even set yet. Highlands or Bowling Green could drop the game next week. There are four teams left, not just two, and all of them are great teams, otherwise these four teams would not be where they are right now! Games can be played on paper one way and on the field another. IMO, The Purples do have what it takes to pull the State Championship out.

Are you backtracking now after your bold statement of how "Dale will remember this beating too." You seem to be changing your tune a little. I know that there is another game to play. I have nothing but full confidence in my team. I know that they will win this coming week. I also know that they will not look past this very good LC team. You are sweet to give the ole' "I think both teams are winners" speech. I only look for one winner on December 7th. It will be the Birds tying Trinity for # 17the most titles in KY history and moving into sole possession of 5th in the country in most wins by a program if they haven't already. Go Birds!!!

MY opinion...?

You know what? I have a lot of friends at Highlands. I do wish them the best....no where did I backtrack anything. Like I said at the end of my post, BGHS HAS what it takes to pull this off and I know they can do it. The "both teams are winners" is not a speech at all. Sorry you can not look at any other team than Highlands...seems like you might not be as secure as what YOU think you are in your team...I don't have to cut down someone else or their team, that shows how secure I am. I will defend these young Purples men, however, because they are a GREAT group of young men as well as athletes. And, like I said before, the only reason why I answered your thread yearlier is because it is mighty rude to assume that Highlands and BG are the only two teams left....they are not and do have yet another game left.....If you are rude to other teams, which consist of young men....kids...it can be heartbreaking for them!!!! I say good luck to ALL FOUR TEAMS!!!!! And yes I stand behind our young men 100%!!!!!
