November 19, 200718 yr I just wanted to start this one since there wasn't one. Yes I am an Ohio State Football fan and I absolutely love to beat Michigan. I also want to say that with all of the good natured ribbing - jabs and shots aside Lloyd Carr is one class act. His record at Michigan speaks for itself 123-40 I believe it was. I am glad for him that he wernt out on his own terms, Carr stated i the presser when asked that he knew before this season that it was going to be his last. So, all joking and jabbing aside. Lloyd Carr was respected and imo will go down as a great coach. (now we will see who the next Michigan coach they hire and Tressel gets to wear out will be....j/k - I had to throw that in )
November 19, 200718 yr The one thing I like about BGP is that, while members do rib each other from time to time, the real fans usually give credit where credit is due. Classy move on the Ohio State fans to give Carr some props for the job he has done at Michigan.:thumb:
November 19, 200718 yr I got a chance to have dinner once with Lloyd Carr (about 5 or 6 of us). He was a very personable person and loved to talk football. Not a surley guy which you see with many coaches, just a really nice person.
November 19, 200718 yr Author What did he say at his press conference? He said that he is done!, J/K - I can't remember all of it but he was very cordial and all class.
November 19, 200718 yr He said that he is done!, J/K - I can't rmember all of it but he was very cordial and all class. So is he gonna retire or what? And if so is he gonna coach in the bowl game?

November 19, 200718 yr He is retiring and although I diod not hear I would certainly think that he will be coaching in the Bowl Game. O..OK..Thanks for the Info. I was at school when he had the presser.

November 19, 200718 yr I'd look for the next coach to be either LSU coach (and former Wolverine lineman) Les Miles, or Stanford coach (and former Wolverine QB) Jim Harbaugh.
