November 18, 200718 yr He left. He's at a smaller branch of UC right now trying to get his grades in order. From what I've been told it isn't going well... Talk about a kid that needs football. That is too bad, he was a man among boys in high school but life happens and that is why education is so important. I wish him the best, hope he can turn it around.

November 18, 200718 yr They have a kid named Darrin Williams committed from Detroit that I really like. There is some serious concern about losing him on signing day though. WVU, Michigan and a few others are trying to get involved after he had a huge season... Letting Ashley get out of town is a big loss. UC has to keep the best kids here.

While I agree with the sentiment, I don't think Ashley is going to have much impact at the next level. They have to convince youngsters like Josh Jones from Elder and Spencer Ware from Princeton to stay home...

I think Kerry Coombs will contribute greatly to UC's recruiting efforts in the area. I would expect to see more and more kids coming back to UC (ie transferring).

November 19, 200718 yr Alex Daniels is a name to look for next year... Sounds good. UC's recruiting team has only been intact for roughly a year now. You need to be in a big time recruits "living room" after their soph year, so the jury is still out. I agree with csh81 I think Koombs should do well in this area.
