I have to disagree..if you could see the money and food that our community constantly is supplying to the immigrants just so they can pay heat bills and feed their children...

 

THe list for Christmas Angels is 3x what it was 2 years ago in my community and the healthcare costs that this creates is phenomenal. Never mind that most of them do not have insurance so when you get into a car wreck good luck.! That is ok they will just raise your rate....

Let's do something that allows illegal immigrants to begin to pay taxes and apply for insurance, WHILE beginning an indepth process of becoming an American citizen.

I know what you are saying but they broke the law.. and did not go through legal avenues to get in our country. Should they just get a pass. I am not sure that is fair.

 

I know that many employers love it, I think it is just exploiting a group of people. I believe we should start with the employers and then work our way to the individuals. Deport them? I am not sure that is the answer. but our borders need to be closed and they need to apply for legal entry.

 

I think it is crazy that we are in this spot and if it was not making someone money it would have already have been stopped.

You misinterpret my post...I am speechless that someone could evidently be PROUD of supporting deporting babies born on American soil.

They use the fact that a child born here is a citizen automatically, knowing they will not be deported, because the bleeding hearts think it would be horrible to split up a family. I think it would be, also. The only way to fix this loophole and maintain family unity is to change the citizen ship law. If you are born on US soil, but are born to illegal immigrants, then your claim to automatic cictzenship is denied and you must go back to the home country of your law breaking parents. I personally know a young family from Honduras that came here when the wife got pregnant w/ their first child. Angelo works hard for his family, but they have had three more kids since arriving here. Angelo has no insurance. Who do you think has paid for the prenatal care for his wife for each of these kids? Angelo drives a car, but has no drivers license or insurance. Who will pay if he hits someone and the wreck is his fault. His oldest child started puplic school this year. She gets a free breakfast every morning, free lunch every day. His younger children also get to go to pre-school for free because of his income status. This is a goog guy that works hard, but has to work under the table because he has no Social Security number and no work visa. He and his family are a drain on our system, and that is without being a problem for law enforcement. As far as illegal immigrants go, Angelo would be the best you could hope for. But with all that said, he and his family should have to go back to Honduras. If you use a gun while commiting a crime, the punishment goes up. Cause the death of another while commiting an illegal act, the penalty for that act goes up. An illegal is breaking the law as long as they are on our soil. Why should they be rewarded while breaking the law?

In my community the list is long because the jobs are gone, not because of illegal immigration. We've lost nearly 15,000 jobs in 10 years in Henry County, VA. (textiles and furniture) When people talk about the danger to America of Illegals as the largest threat, I disagree. We have sent thousands and thousands of jobs to other countries (China, South America). Those jobs were once manned by American citizens who had no other training or history of anything but mill work. That is what is ripping up whole sections of our country, much more than illegal immigration.

Just because they are poor doesn't give them the right to break the law.

Why don't you spend more of an effort clamoring how mistreated they are by their own government? Why bash ours? Why are they our responsibility?
