Bermuda grass. Has a big crown so it drains to the sidelines. Middle is a little chewed up. But it is in good shape for this late in the season.

 

 

What is the over under on the number of times both teams pass? I would guess under 12.

If its wet and nasty, I agree. If not, I think Mayfield will pass the ball 15 or more times themselves. Alot of it will depend on how well the running game is working and the need to open things up.

I know we were 0-7 passing against Fulton City.......

I gotta feeling that if either team has to "open" up their offense then it will be a long night for them as it means that their running game is stalled. And I will take the over/under at 12 for the first three quarters and then after that all bets are off depending on the score. Would be shocked if the number of passes reaches much above the 12 passes.

I heard today that Mayfield has a very good practice at the indoor complex due to the rain! DLineman Lawson will play, as will Brent Simpkins...Mayfield's stud kicker/punter Tommy McNutt is doubtful this week, but freshman Marc Wynstra kicked very well at Fulton City last week.

One good thing about Mayfield football...is that we have had alot of experience with the Thanksgiving Day practices and the like...so the players know how much they can eat and how much they should eat...lol.

 

Best Wishes to all the Frankfort players, coaches, administrators, and fans on this Thanksgiving Holiday. It is nice that a game of this magnitude can have open and honest discussions about their teams without it turning negative. Shows class by the supporters for both teams on this website.

We have a great deal of respect for the Mayfield program, which is what you all have. An established program that always makes a deep run into the playoffs. Coach Foley is bringing Frankfort to that level, not that we'll ever have the history you guys have. We all know it takes good and great players to get to this level and both teams have they're share of those. You all be careful on your trip up to the capital city, and happy Thanksgiving.
