I was just wandering who everyone thinks has the best feeder system in the best elmentary/juniorhigh teams in the 16th?

Elliott Co has a pretty good feeder system though it may be small.

I have to disagree about Elliott's feeder system at least at the elementary level.

 

If it wasn't for the dedication of their parents to search out additional exposure and experience, our middle school and high school systems would suffer. These parents have transported these up and coming athletes throughout the region to provide them the opportunities to play a diverse cross-section of age-appropriate competitors.

I need a better definition of what makes on successful. Is it winning, developing players, organization?

Would a school that placed six on last years ADI all area team qualify?

That is what I meant , that the people in the county have stepped up to make it possible for their child to play, making the middle school better and therefore enhancing the high school team. I appauld the parents of Elliott. :thumb:

I knew what you meant Ms. Liberty!!! :ylsuper: I just didn't want others reading this thread to think we were blind to the substandard feeder "program" because one isn't available here.

 

It wasn't too many years ago that even our elementary teams traveled to various schools in the area to offer these young players the opportunity for game time play. If it wasn't for supportive parents, some of these young players would only receive about 2 months worth of experience and that IN NO WAY constitutes a "program". Unfortunately (as is always the case), not everyone has that opportunity because it is not school sponsored so travel becomes an issue. Potentially, middle school and high school teams could be missing out on a talented player because they haven't had the opportunity to advance their skills. Not to mention the prospect of keeping a kid focused on education (even at a higher level) and away from "alternative entertainment".

Thanks to parents, not only have the younger kids traveled , but the older ones have too.

In some cases at a great expense to parents and grandparents. But all in all everyone has had fun and learned from this experience. Again thank to the Parents , Elliott co may be a a force to recon with for several years. ! ! ! !

I believe he is referring to Rose Hill. I don't follow middle school that closely but I recall that they won the 7th or 8th grade state tournament last year. Plus I saw a boy this summer that had a shirt on that listed their record for the past 4 or 5 years and it was pretty impressive. I'm sure someone from the Hill knows the records, etc.

Boyds 7th grade team is not bad....Got some talented players playin and some talented players not playin...
