Let me verify are we talking about basketball or quick recall? If it is quick recall I will take the young Lions, if this contest has anything to do with athleticism give me the young Royals.

So should we take it that Boyd Co is now putting a greater emphasis on academic than athletics?

I have no fight or excuse for those kids being there. Is it wrong? Probably yes in some peoples eyes, but so is the things that go on in other systems as well...

 

Every school system is guilty.

 

Maybe we can just move the Ramey Home kids to your school system, that way you can be the only one completely guilty.:thumb:

 

Now, my thoughts from someone that was raised and born in Boyd County is that the kids should be accepted for what they are, because they are kids, but they are not always welcomed with open arms. I have seen a few of these kids come in and take Starting positions away from kids that deserved them, that had already been in the System since Kindergarten, especially the one QB you are referring to. If you did a poll these kids are not as accepted in the Community as you think, but you still have to feel sorry for some of these young men and the lives they have lived. So it is a tough position for a lot of us. Most of the young men had so much controversy surrounding them, that they was not a big help anyway.

 

Corleone...You have made some very strong statements and personally have stepped on some toes of some people like myself that have no decision on whether these kids are at Boyd or not, and maybe that is vice-versa, but one thing we want talk about is the Life Decision or trouble of a child and for the record you shouldnt either.

What grade school did Fugate, Owens, Black and Lee attend again? I'm sorry but I seemed to have forgotten.

 

Heck the starting quarterback on Boyd's 2005 or 2006 football team was a questionable transfer from Lawrence.

 

How about the Kouns kid from Carter Co a few years back.

 

Give the new regime time and the bus with the bars over the windows will be making stops in Cannonsburg once again.

I know Tiny...I felt it was best left alone as well....They all want to talk they are all about the kids, then they make statements about them. Would love to see some of these posters stare in one of those young men's eyes and then see what they would do.
