Well there is sort of a level of confidence that comes with winning 11 games this year even if it is CovCath. Don't worry, the birds won't get caught looking past you guys like they did last year!!!!

 

I have a hard time believing HHS looked past CCH last year.

What goes around comes around. HHS went through a very similar run in the mid 90's. Difference is, we didn't have BGP to remind you...

It was 50/50 in football until the 98' season when HHS started to take control of the series in the 90's. As far as the other sports.....not a chance.

:D Bowling??? A sport????

There's nothing like a CCH / Highlands game especially one where the Bluebirds think they already have it wrapped up and CCH is playing with nothing to lose. That can many times spell upset. Can't wait till Friday! With a Spirit that will not die.

 

Don't get the football team confused with a few posters on here, some with no ties to HHS. I doubt VERY much if the team thinks they have it wrapped up. If they do you may very well be right.

How many time in 3A was this the state championship game? Could this be the case in 5A?

This team will not overlook Cov Cath... They remember last year and would like to take two from Cov Cath this year. This senior group of young men are hungry for another victory and this game is a stepping stone to #17. Highlands wins big tonight!!!

My point is your modest 2 and 3 year winning streaks against CCH in baseball and basketball in the mid 90's really don't compare to the way CCH has one-sided those series this decade.

 

Back to football, I expect the Birds to win by 14-17.

The 04' team was almost as good as a allstar team. It's tough to compare these team's.

The 98 team was still the equivalent to the Untouchables!
