Regardless if Highlands goes undefeated....can this team really be considered one of the best HHS teams ever? Just looking back recently, I would take the 04' team with that incredible defense over this team any day.

One thing about the HHS 2004 squad was that the offense was a little less the impressive on some occasions. I find it hard to believe that the 2004 squad was better overall than 1998, 1999 or 2000.

 

But again, the main focus is on this year's team and tonight's monumental game.

If you play football in NKY, this is THE GAME. I would concede a X/T matchup as the biggest in the state, but CovCath and Highlands are a strong #2.

 

 

My point is to the casual observer, say someone in Clay or Letcher County, throwing a stat out there like CovCath lost to a 5 - 5 LaSalle team doesn't tell the whole story. That 5 - 5 LaSalle team would be a Top 5 Kentucky team.

Records don't matter but regular season preparation does. Not to say Highlands is not prepared, but CovCath has played a tougher schedule.

 

Should be a good game and I am excited to see it. Does anyone think that the game will sell out?

I know your question is rhetorical, but it probably depends on if the losing affects the kids confidence negatively or not.

 

 

I know going 4 - 0 keeps the fan base happy though...
